I get what you’re saying breh and it’s no point to continue the back and forthLaugh when you don't understand what trends are, brehs...
Sometimes I don't know why I bother.
But then I realize...I'm not responding for you. Only to you.
Nothing is influencing Black kids more than rap culture.
I don't do it for him. He's already established his brain is closed. I do it because his narrative becomes the perceived truth when there's no rebuttal and there's more nuisance than that.I get what you’re saying breh and it’s no point to continue the back and forth
You over here trying to elaborate on a study that you participated in and this dude over here posting mass shooters
Right or wrong it’s no point in battling someone who just here to make fun of the thread
Exactly but the reasons you listed are a lot more difficult to solve and require accountability so it’s easier to shift the narrative to somebody spitting a couple bars. If rap was as influential as they claim it is there would not be as large a gap in criminality from white people to our people in this country. White people are the largest consumers of rap music by far.Thank you. You summed my point up perfectly.
Other races especially White people consume all this rap shyt four times the amount that Black people do, and guess what? They not out here doing drills like we are, are they intellectually and morally superior?
Hell no!
They do have access to better resources and better environments, which shape their opportunities.
Our problems as Black Americans is far deeper than music, our entire lives is a byproduct of White supremacy and all the generational trauma and ills of slavery.
If we wanna keep it a buck music is dead last of things that we need to clean up and get our minds right about.
A lot of us are coming from broken homes, criminal parents/family, extreme poverty, poor education etc., some of us lost the mental battle before the music ever graced our ears, so what are we really talking about?
You guys got to quit saying rap culture. There are many sub-genres in rap.Exactly but the reasons you listed are a lot more difficult to solve and require accountability so it’s easier to shift the narrative to somebody spitting a couple bars. White people are not coming in droves to go see drill rappers at local clubs
White people out here paying to see rappers where you gotta spend 300 dollars on ticket master so stop the
I get what you were saying about the common sense part in one of your posts tho.I don't do it for him. He's already established his brain is closed. I do it because his narrative becomes the perceived truth when there's no rebuttal and there's more nuisance than that.
I'm not saying get rid of rap music or video games or porn or any other media we think is a net negative to society.
I think we need to understand all of the factors that go into it, and start to recognize and call out the symptoms well before they become a problem, because chances are, the factors are observed. They just aren't managed. We fail as a society when we don't.
It happens every time the topic comes up. No one's here saying there's a certain number of raps one can listen to before they start getting active in the field.
There's been an ongoing campaign to raise people's awareness to disinformation campaigns orchestrated by foreign actors like Russia VIA TWEETS. people can be influenced to believe things which might impact the way they vote during elections but we can't imagine how listening to music for years on end that centers around the celebration of Black death might influence our attitudes and potentially our actions.
Nonsense. The high majority of people that listen to rap do not decide to become a scammer or gang member. Crash outs are crash outs that would’ve found their way to some bs regardless of what music they listened to.
It's wild because we have access to information more than ever, but the internet allows people to stay in their bubbles even harder, because they can keep consuming media that confirms their world view.I get what you were saying about the common sense part in one of your posts tho.
People are stuck in their bubble and only interact with the same people they’ve known for years. Especially on the coli where dudes are flabby and are wrong about damn near everything on what’s popping to begin with lol
It took me moving to the city in working in all these communities everyday to understand everyone truly isn’t created equal, not everyone has the resources, and to realize common sense isn’t common lol
if that’s the case then why isn’t drill music main stream like the other sub cultures in rap?Nah, breh. White people are the biggest consumers of all rap. They not going to those shows because they know they’ll have to occupy space with Black people, but those streams, YouTube hits, IG followers etc. are White dominated.
We’re 13% of the population, you don’t cross over to mainstream with just Black fans.
You already know what it is. It’s upper class looking down at the lower class. Talking bout stop listening to the same music I listen toThe majority of the Booth is college educated and does computer shyt making 6 figures....this shyt is ridiculous.
