Brolic... Alcoholics
Haven't played basketball in about 3 years. Just played one on one with my 16 yr old cousin. I won but I hurt my back. I'm done with this sport. Every time I play this sport, I get hurt.

Guess I'll stick to treadmill and weights.

How much of a difference do shoes make with squats?

I am starting to get serious about squatting more often, but I notice that my weight is too far forward with my normal athletic shoes. I know a lot of people use Chucks or something else, but my disposable income is tight at the moment so unless the upgrade is major I don't want to have to sacrifice on something else
I've been working out in vans for years....May look silly to some people, but hopefully a light bulb turns on when they see I squat heavy and deadlift flawlessly...

Want to get my strength up so I'm taking some 5x5 principles and working them into my push/pull/leg split

For legs I'm basically just doing 5x5. For push day I'm doing 5x5 bench to start followed by around 6 sets of other chest exercises in the usual 8-12 rep range. For pull I'm starting with 5x5 barbell row followed by 3 sets pullups/chinups and 3 sets of something else.

Finishing off push/pull days with correponding arm movements, 2-3 sets

Dont wanna just do straight 5x5 because I enjoy the gym too much to only go 3 times per week

Dont wanna do Phat because I dont like extreme hypertrophy since I am always doing physical work at my job too

PHAT is for intermediates and the more advanced anyway.

Been on a calorific deficit for about 3 weeks now. Down to about 12-13% body fat. How long should it take to get down to 10%? I reckon about 4 weeks, 6 max. The weight is flying off and i'm banging 2,200 calories. If I stall I could comfortably cast aside another 200 calories I think.

You dont realize how much weight you gained till you put on t shirts from last summer :sadcam:
do some sprints or some timed kb/db swings every day breh :blessed: Don't go into a calorie deficit.
