I've seen lactose free whey before, and I mix my shakes with water instead of milk.

Gonna add a flat BB Bench portion to the PHAT routine I dont feel like my chest is getting hit hard enough.

if its whey concentrate, then it will have you like that because the lactose is still in it. if its whey hydrosolate or isolate(expensive) then the lactose has been removed and you wouldnt be having all these problems. start lookin at the ingredients and make sure its whey hydrosolate or isolate.

or you could just eat more chicken, fish, beef, etc...

protein drinks are a ripoff anyway, you'd get more value for your money if u just buy the powder and make it for yourself..

make sure you are getting all your vitamins, while soreness is expected for your first time doing squats you can alleviate it through:

1)proper sleep
2)hydration
3)balanced nutrition via vitamins

get these especially
multi vitamin(any will do)
magnesium(get citrate if possible)
potassium
zinc
fishoil

consistency with everything will make the process easier, if possible set it to a schedule for lifting as well as when you take the vitamins
