Putting together the team for spring soccer. Really gotta get some heavy sprint work in this time instead of wasting half the season playing myself into shape. Trying to hit the ground running this time and carry the team. 4 G / 1 A in 8 games after not playing for about 4 years wasn't terrible but man I should've at least doubled the goals. Maybe tripled. At least all 4 were amazing goals though.

Kinda sucks because I was hoping to get back up to 162 consistently by spring but I felt so much quicker once I got down to 152 midseason and it wasn't nearly as stressful on my knees/ankles

Playing yourself into shape is absolutely the worst. You’re first couple games are just below par. Touch is off, agility ain’t there, stamina is shot.

Good thing you reminded me. Our spring leagues starts in late March.

How long and how far are you running?

At the end of your run, you should speed up/sprint...While sprinting, you would feel your lungs expanding and after a while your improve your lungs.

We use to do that when I played football and soccer.

How do you guys deal with being stuck at home. I don't want to lose my progress. I was trying to go up 10 more lbs in my bench tomorrow.

Excited for the gym tomorrow, gonna try to do only dumbbells for strength training and not touch a machine to see how I feel, also gonna try to do some push ups. I tend to shy away from these exercises in fear of bad form but I watched some YT how to videos so I hope I have a successful gym session tomorrow...

Also tomorrow will be my first time going to the gym 3 days in one week in a while :lupe:
