this is 2 lbs of beans. 1st you gotta soak them over nigh in water or else you gonna be blazin saddles:bamafdup:
so after those are soaked chop up your veggies, I used 2 stalks of celery, quarter of onion, quarter of aa green pepper
then gather your meat I used 4 medium sized sausage links. Usually I go with conecuh but the store didn't have any so I got regular sausage. If you don't mess with swine you can use turkey sausage.
now red beans and risce is supposed to have some spice and the spicy sausage helps with that but also add your own seasoning. Since I didn't have spicy sausage I added a little more spice than usual with the red pepper flakes. But season the beans to your liking from

add 4 cups of chicken stock
I used a hamhock but you can use turkey necks or any kind of meat like this just for flavor
All this in the crock pot and put it on low for 8 hours
After about 6 hours take a cup of beans and mush them so this will give you a "sauce" and put them back in the pot
Let the rest cook until the beans are soft. Have your rice made and BOOM!
