Most games will have a native resolution that’s somewhere in the region of 2K and will be upconverted to 4K.

I wish people would stop saying "2K" to mean ~1440p. "4K" refers to the horizontal resolution being around 4,000 pixels (3840x2160 is the 16:9 resolution, but DCI 4K is 4096x2160). so "2K" would be a horizontal resolution of around 2,000 pixels, or 1920x1080, aka 1080p (DCI 2K is 2048x1080)

Checkboarding does not compare to native rendering especially considering things like lag and low frame rate that most upscaled Pro games are at. Any good GPU can do 4K 30 fps but can it go higher with less performance hits and compromise is what sets it apart from tricks.

This was bad purchase for me personally. I end up gaming in my bedroom more with a 1080p set there and so I'm always playing on my normal PS4 and the Pro experience is so negligible that I don't feel like I'm missing much by not gaming in the living room on it.

Horizon looked damn good on the normal PS4 on a 1080p set.

For the people who haven't bought one of these and have a PS4 I would suggest holding off. It's not worth the cost of admission if you already have a PS4.

I keep going back and forth on it. Higher frame rate is a plus, but for $250 more? I don't know. I don't have a 4K tv and I doubt I will get one soon. I would have pulled the trigger today when I picked up The Show, but Best Buy was out of them. I need to just fight the urge.

I essentially copped as another PS4. I needed to have one in my office with my Elgato set up (which is 1080p)... and I have the OG in my living room for the Vue and watching other streaming apps

I got a question hopefully some can answer

I recently bought an external hard drive. I downloaded all my library on it.

Somebody just offered me a ps4 pro at a price I can't refuse.($150).

Can I transfer that external hard drive and contents to use onto my ps4 pro or am I going to have reformat it and read download everything?
