I don't know who the hell you are, but you're surely an an uptight negro to label me a fukking c00n, just because I said it took Obama a whole week to voice such poignant statement for why Trayvon's case unjust murder have our community amok :pacspit:

Obama is already getting it from white people labeling him a racist president and you have black people like yourself saying it took him only a week to say something. It's not easy being the commander and chief of this nation and revealing your honest thoughts when motherfukkers want to jump on him. :pacspit:

Guess, my c00n self must be living under pluto rock or through a vortex to not comprehend the tightrope Obama must teeter on. But, I go back to being that c00n, as you eloquently typed:obama:

so what? they are already angry and will be angry for as long as a black man is governing in the white house. there is no point in trying to appease these people, they hate democrats and they hate the idea of a black president. the only thing obama can do is rally his own troops and stop caring about what these biggots think, want or do.

exactly, sooner or later black folks will have to realize that we can't worry how other people look at us. We have to stop trying to get Accepted from these people and just start living and doing for ourselves because they could care less.

White people I know always acknowledge the police racism at least. I got pulled over many times when i was 19-20 in a luxury car like Johnny Football and white people understood the high level racism when i was in college. Like people think blacks gotta be an athlete to go to something like a state university....when requirements for most schools wasn't that high and I could easily meet the avg SAT scores. Had 1200/1600 one time without taking any classes....just using my grade school knowledge.

However, I don't think white people acknowledge the low level racism....At least in my experiences. Granted my black ass rarely got the elevator and door locking racism cause i'm from Maryland and damn near everyone is black between b-more and DC.

My problem is thinking a young black person with any pennies is a drug dealer. Cops was always on some you got drugs, untaxed cigarettes, dead bodies, etc and I didn't even have as much as much as a speeding ticket, but got searched when i laughed cause i thought it was crazy to even ask me those questions when I was in the Carolinas on multiple occasions.

i guess you don't plan on ever having a job. You can't escape what people think....image is everything no matter who ya dealing with.

I'm black....and black people have been judgmental about my look at times more than anyone else. Least white people got guilt.
If you ain't clean cut....black people gonna have a problem more than whites IMO. I had my hair on some whiz kahlifa ish for a while and i'm a liability to blacks. White people remained about the skill.

me and my white brehs talk about the drug war all the time (and obviously the race disparity when it comes to arrests), the younger generation of whites are much more aware of institutional racism from my experiences. But there will always be folks somewhere who hold the stereotypical racist view of blacks and will act accordingly, but they are in the minority, most of the racism I've seen have been from older CAC's and tend to be rednecks but these are just my experiences. We all have diff perspectives on this issue and I'm sure my black brehs have experienced racism from the younger generation as well.

Thing of is. America is only 2-3 generations removed from the civil rights era.Tensions in America weren't automatically smoothed at the conclusion of the 1960s. Many people who were around during that time period are still alive today. Their influences, beliefs, prejudice behavior were most likely handed down to their children.Stealth racism, such as redlining and employment discrimination have never stopped. Instead these practices have essentially taken a hidden face.

I don't know if this happened to anyone else, but in the aftermath of all of us I've been sitting back on twitter and facebook and friends are shocking me. Like people I went to school with through high school and some others. They just have me like :wtf: Maybe, our generation isn't as far down the road as we thought. I'm looking at some people like, "really, you fam"

i thought the speech was good and the timing was right. if he had came out right after the verdict with this statement it could have been perceived more as inciting the mob. but after giving it some time, letting people reflect and organize their own townhalls, marches and what not, it's better received as thoughtful reflection imo.

he did seem to dump cold water on the notion of a fed investigation. part of me kind of agrees with that though...

the question obama asked that every white person wants to avoid..."what if trayvon was armed and stood his ground against gz and shot him ded? would he get the same type of support gz is getting?" we all know the answer, and that's what makes the gz supporters supreme hypocrites.

Personally I enjoyed the speech. I felt as if he took the necessary jabs at GZ, the Sanford Police department, and bigoted folks who act is if race was never factor into the outcome and handling of this case.

A strong point imo, was the scenario he played out if, Trayvon Martin, was and shot in killed GZ in self defense, how differently this case would have played out.

Bill Maher was fairly interesting last night too. The tension between the panel blatantly visible. But my main focus was on this specimen.

I was shocked that he said that, but I commend him for it. Finally he spoke about the realities of race instead of hiding from it.

However, the cynical part of me thinks he just did it so that he can say he threw us a bone, just a verbal one for a minute, because he knows the DOJ isn't going to charge shyt.
:snoop: he aint do shyt but tell nikkas to trust and believe in the white mans laws . He wouldn't have said all this if he was up for re-election in 2014.
