Trump tells a Republican that Establishment Joe is a socialist, so that Republican wont wont for Joe.
Trump tells that Republican the same about a progressive, and they wont vote for them either.

Now, a Democrat looks at Joe and says he seems centrist enough that I think he can win, and votes for him.
But the next Democrat looks at Joe and says, he seems like a half assed Republican, Im not going to vote.
Next Democrat says, Im not sure about Joe, I will just vote down ballot instead.
