the qb's job is NOT to "make plays and control the offense"
its to move sticks, dont turn the ball over and put up points on the board
in 2010 sanchez did a good job of it

so the bolded is ENOUGH to be a good qb

you and trip have a perverted version of what a QB should do.

a good offense can be led by a "game manager", easily. and it doesnt have to start with the qb.

I've been trying to tell these Johnny Come Lately cats that the QB position = game manager. If you have a special QB that can make special plays then so be it.

All this over exaggerated value of the QB position is media driven and people believe its gospel. The rule changes have inflated the QB numbers around the league. On any given Sunday you can have 10 QBs pass for over 300 yards and half of those teams will barely have 20 points, if that. That is flat out absurd to me.

It's all about parroting the flawed narrative for the lazy.

What rule changes? Give the specific ones.

You mean the no contact rule of 1978?

I'll take the Fish O line over the Rams patchwork oline any day.

Fair enough but Tanny was pressured all day, pass protection was poor that game, but dude is simply a stud under pressure

that's what impresses me the most about him actually, dude is unfazed in the pocket and moves around like a veteran

If a QB in the early stages show you they have no fear under pressure, everything else after that will be easy to them.

:to:

I saw that in Eli his rookie season.

We gonna act like Polian didn't petition the league to start enforcing it in the mid '00s? :beli:

Then there's the defenseless receiver plus the sensitization of the roughing the QB rules....
