This is what I'm saying. 4 years in they're putting this out like it changes anything. They should have put whatever money they applied to developing this into making more games. Especially new IPs.

This thing is cannon fodder for fanboy wars online. It doesn't change the actual situation in the least. The last known numbers suggest the PS4 has doubled the Xbox One's sales. You put out a expensive box catered to a smaller subset of the market and it doesn't do anything to address that.

Half the people here hyping this up if it's announced at $500-$600 suddenly they probably aren't gonna wanna buy it. People are saying anything over $400 is suicide but this product doesn't sound like a mass market we want everyone to buy it anyway product in the first place. Personally I'm preparing for $550-$600.

Honestly they should have waited till the end of year 5 and put this out dropping the Jaguar processor and call it the Xbox 2 or whatever and have it be their next generation system.

I don't think M$ is planning to think Next gen until 2021 at the earliest. If this didn't drop now the xb1 would literally get left in the dust as far as gaming goes, the product is the truth. Live is the best, but the xb1 has less exclusives and the multi plat games couldn't stand up to the ps4 pro.

Another 4 years of the last 1 would be hard to bounce back from.

depending on how this whole thing goes we can see sony start talking ps5 around 2019.

If they start catering their exclusives to Scorpio specs then the OG XB1/1S versions are really gonna be

much like the PS4 Pro, dev's need to put in the effort to patch their games to take advantage of the new hardware. luckly M$ has a ton of first party titles they can count on

How you not making sense???? People will openly dumb their current Xbox for a more powerful one if they want graphical performance or a possible exclusive title. Their base is small as they are behind they can easily restart and you have people jumping ship already from Neogaf. New users and market

All in all I am glad the new approach they are taking to new consoles. Instead of making everyone, including devs, start from scratch, they instead release a new updated model which can play all the old games. Basically a locked down PC. I welcome this new approach

4K is the standard now especially for next systems but it can't get that much better Microsoft is in front of the technology front. Sony has to catch up now. This system can last 4 plus years
