Man,I wonder why there isnt Elzhi,Phonte and Kanye project. I dont even fukk with Kanye like that but his beats with those two and Kanye's here and there raps would be a dope fit. Anyway,Tigallo always delivers. This project is dope! Thank you 2018!

I don't get the singing complaints, either. Some people just want rappity rap, like on some Wu-Tang shyt, but even them nikkas had singers on the hooks of their solo projects. Te is giving nikkas the hardest bars of the year, and all people can talk about is the singing.

Would they rather hear J. Cole's basic bars and shytty singing on every hook? Phonte is a rapper who is actually musically inclined, and for some reason, a lot of people are very averse to that.

People are probably mentioning this cause his most recent release since 2009 was a literal R&B album, and during that time he talked about being very frustrated with rap and wanting to give it up completely

Gave the album a couple spins at the gym(only 33 minutes). Very dope album, his subject matter far exceeds any other rapper out today. Expensive genes is brilliant. 9/10.

I'm glad he went back to the bars. He is incredible at singing and FE is dope. But he is way too good of an lyricist to not drop bars. shyt is dope so far.

So to your point about him being musically inclined, every producer that he's ever worked with has said that he would be an excellent producer if he chose that route. He also does a fair amount of uncredited production as it is. He's a total package artist, so expecting him to not do a little bit of everything is just unrealistic.

Dude note. I'm digging the production on this. It's very vibrant.

I kinda wish there was 1-2 dusty boom bap joints like on CSAH but I can't complain.

IMO it could use like 1-2 9th joints but it's a solid 4/5 to me off 3 spins.
