Two of those games didn’t even launch on the platform, they literally bought the studios after they were done being made.

You also keep discounting older IP’s that Sony and Nintendo made last gen but you’re naming Flight Sim, Gears, Forza, Halo, IP that were created during the 360 generation and before??? This is why people don’t take these threads seriously

EA and T2 release lots of AAA games.

Your question is broken.
Fair enough. Let me rephrase:

Why is Nintendo able to spend R&D to produce AA and AAA games, including new AA or AAA releases most every year, but not EA or T2? Go ahead, give me an answer instead of copy-pasting something.

I’m not discounting anything. You guys are all over the place with the shyt. I was asked which Successful games has Microsoft released in the last 5 years, That’s the list. They’ve been a very successful AAA publisher over the last 5 years.

I’m gonna assume you mean new IP?

Nintendo doesn’t release new AAA IP every year.

EA and T2 release plenty of AA games.

Your question is still broken.

Does Nintendo release new IP virtually every year or no? Not AAA. Just new IP. Yes or no?

EA and T2 release plenty of AA games.

Name all the new AA IP EA and T2 released since 2020. We got It Takes Two from EA. What else?
Your question is still broken.
Hmm. If EA and T2 are releasing plenty of new IP, it seems like the Polygon article's premise is broken, and so is Phil Spencer's premise by connection.

Which would be surprising because when is Phil Spencer ever wrong about the state of video games? :troll:

This thread and conversation is specifically AAA investment. I’m not sure why you want so badly to talk about nintendos smaller games.

There’s been lots
Waves for wheels

Again, that’s the point of the thread. All the risk, creativity and new IP are relegated to smaller games. Big spending goes to proven IP.

There’s been lots https://www.ea.com/news/electronic-arts-partnering-with-indie-studios#:~:text=Over%20the%20past%20few%20years%2C%20Electronic%20Arts%20has,Out%2C%20Fe%2C%20Sea%20of%20Solitude%20and%20Rocket%20Arena™.
So you can't list any games. Gotcha. Why didn't you say that before?

No, you just can’t read.
No need to be insulting, damn. I just asked why Nintendo is able to try and innovate in the AAA space even when their games don't completely hit like that, and then you answered with a bunch of other stuff that didn't address my question.

I don't know why you Xbox stans get so heated all the time. Some exercise should lower that blood pressure. You should try 14M+ best-selling new IP Ring Fit Adventure.

WTF wrong with you breh
Over the past few years, Electronic Arts has partnered with Coldwood Interactive, Hazelight, Zoink, Jo-Mei and Final Strike Games to bring players a variety of new games, including Unravel, Unravel 2, A Way Out, Fe, Sea of Solitude and Rocket Arena™. Together, these games brought to life heartfelt stories and action-packed co-op adventures, creating unique and memorable experiences for our players that push the boundaries of traditional game-based storytelling.
You really can’t read, or you are just playing dumb :mjlol:

Nintendo ain’t innovating in the AAA space. At least not recently.

They put money behind Zelda, Mario, Etc.

New IP like Sushi Strikers gets a much smaller budget.

Talked yourself into a corner now trying to troll your way out
