The unions should do better now that Labour are back in Power
We had a lot of union strikes across different sectors with a Conservative government.
Also as a qualified electrician working for yourself your making bank. I dunno how they do over there but here it's up 2 100 bucks for a call out. That's without touching anything just to take a look and give a quote. Sparkies are eating good I won't lie.
Right now tho the TOOLS are expensive because we can't use Chinese generics for isolations
See how valentines is coming up il take a Kewtech RCD tester over a Birkin![]()
Ebay is a great place to cop tools for cheap. I got a used $400 Fluke multimeter in like new condition from there for $100 a couple years back. It was probably stolen, but whatever lol.
I disagree but damn
Salute to the trade guys because I’m good on that. Work from home and sit at a desk is goated.![]()
I know ppl in Texas working construction for $12 an hour
I'm a felon and I make $33/hr working maintenance at a warehouse. 4 days a week, 10 hour days. If I want OT I just work 12 hours.
I don't think the guy in the OP is working a skilled trade. He's probably just throwing boxes at a warehouse or doing some other shytty job.
College ain't a guaranteed golden ticket. As a teenager I worked at Target stocking shelves alongside people who had Masters Degrees. Plus they gotta pay off student loans for decades.
A lot of people call any blue collar work a tradeTruccer's swear its a trade and its not.
Being a diesel mechanic is tho![]()
