😄 I'm learning
The unions should do better now that Labour are back in Power

We had a lot of union strikes across different sectors with a Conservative government.
Also as a qualified electrician working for yourself your making bank. I dunno how they do over there but here it's up 2 100 bucks for a call out. That's without touching anything just to take a look and give a quote. Sparkies are eating good I won't lie.

Right now tho the TOOLS are expensive because we can't use Chinese generics for isolations

See how valentines is coming up il take a Kewtech RCD tester over a Birkin 😅

Ebay is a great place to cop tools for cheap. I got a used $400 Fluke multimeter in like new condition from there for $100 a couple years back. It was probably stolen, but whatever lol.

Speaking of tools my neighbour van got hit the other day with cutters

So people are really taking van doors off the hinges now just to steal tools.

Be safe fellow tradesmen/women 🛠

Salute to the trade guys because I’m good on that. Work from home and sit at a desk is goated. :wow:

My only beef with people talking on trade work do it in a manner where it's romanticized and shytting on people who went the college route.

That and the people doing the romanticizing are never in or have worked them or if they are, are under 5 years in the game.

Other than that, get it how you live black man.

Lowkey thats why teenagers should work a manual labor job in the summers between school. :hubie:

I spent my early 20s doing hard labor and really hard shyt. Late 20s now and I plan on spending as much time in academics as possible (Math) then getting a office job.

Breaking your back day in and day out for 30 years is not the move. Much respect to those who do, and they serve a real purpose and are important to society. But there's a reason men started going to college and getting white collar jobs :hubie:

I'm a felon and I make $33/hr working maintenance at a warehouse. 4 days a week, 10 hour days. If I want OT I just work 12 hours.

I don't think the guy in the OP is working a skilled trade. He's probably just throwing boxes at a warehouse or doing some other shytty job.

College ain't a guaranteed golden ticket. As a teenager I worked at Target stocking shelves alongside people who had Masters Degrees. Plus they gotta pay off student loans for decades.

Truccer's swear its a trade and its not.

Being a diesel mechanic is tho :ehh:
