First off congrats on the placement on those blogs, especially 2DB. Very hard to get on there.
Im not sure what fly by night organizations you've spoken with but i know the terms of my ad deal VERY WELL.
I personally dont charge for the post i charge for how fast the post will be put up. Some of the blogs ive written for get well over 100 emails a day requesting their music be posted therefore if you wanna cut the line then you gotta pay. Much like in life.
The second half of your post was nothing but pure unadulterated horseshyt of the highest order. I love artists like you. The "im too good and talented to spend money on marketing myself
" people who always insist on telling you their expenses without taking the time to think about others. Eventually buddy your super talented ass will have to pay for something to get on.
If not a blogger a DJ, if not a DJ a program director, if not the program director the actual radio personality speaking. It's why Ford Motor Co. pays and flys my homey out to events all across the U.S., because he's considered an influencer and they know his good word will bring in more sales. Simple supply and demand. It's the answer to why shytty music get's popular. Now is it right or wrong? That's a whole different conversation. ALL the ATL artists who are eating good paid someone to keep playing their music and thus making them popular nationwide
If you wanna skirt the process that's fine and makes no difference to me. How you get on doesnt matter to me. But Major Labels have been doing it for years and it's still working for them. It's why legendary music label bosses like Master P would hire a call center to do nothing but call a radio station and request his music. Yea he didnt pay for the music to be played but he paid for something.
