there's plenty of punk rock bands that tour the world and sleep on floors, legends who play for pizzas. because they love music. its not about money. it never was. music is older than records, its something natural that all humans respond to. the music industry has always perverted that. THAT is the nature of the beast.

Brother that's a whole nother conversation in and of itself, but i do agree with you

Hi, blogger here.

I've been blogging since 2011 and have written over 7K articles in my short career. I retired due to losing my passion for writing. Here's how we look at things:

First of all starting a blog is easy but getting a following is hard. I had to write 20 articles a day, EVERYDAY, for 6 months straight just to get up to the level of my first ad deal. So thats 6 months of working for free to get your brand visible to where you're actually building a reader base.

Then I had to write for 6 more months to get a good ad deal with Glam Media, which is one of the biggest and best ad companies out there. But at my visitor levels and the CPM we were getting the blog was making about 1500 a month. decent start.

From there we have expenses such as writers who have to get paid, hosting, premium tools needed to market the blog effectively, money for going to events and networking, etc etc. This adds up to way over $1500.

So heres the truth to why you get charged......YOU'RE NOBODY. If im getting 5K to 10K views PER DAY why should i promote your sub par music for free when you didnt help me get to this point. If you were hot and popping then we would've have written about your song and video as soon as it dropped. Stalley pre MMG and Stalley post MMG has his music treated way differently BECAUSE HE NOW HAS A MARKETABLE BRAND.

Stay with me here.....If your music is hot or you have lots of fans we post it up for free because we need the SEO juice to attract more visitors to the blog. If you're nobody we could potentially get you new fans and exposure so what's wrong with $10 bucks here or there. EVERY BLOG CHARGES MONEY, BUT THEY DONT CHARGE EVERYBODY.

The problem with rap music is no one wants to spend money to promote their craft or music, there's this sense of arrogance that people should automatically fukk with their music just because it's hot to them.....nah playboi if you're shyt aint hot cough up that dough.

blogs are suppose to come from either

A)- journalistic standard -
b) be from a curator or fan prospective

if your taking payments for post you neither a journalist or a fan ... your a leech ..

also legally most sites that give you ad money .. your suppose to say a post this was a paid advertisement by company Y ... people play fast and losses online cause they have no standards ... i am assume you don't do that and your breaking your own agreement with your advertisers

Thanks breh i really go appreciate that! Im weird man. I go through creative spurts where I make music or I write or paint, then I stop cold turkey when i lose my passion for it. So i make good art but im not consistent because im a numbers guy at heart. But thank you though, for real
What in the world were you using to create your tracks? You had my whole crew in Detroit fighting over freestyle sessions...:lolbron:

First off congrats on the placement on those blogs, especially 2DB. Very hard to get on there.

Im not sure what fly by night organizations you've spoken with but i know the terms of my ad deal VERY WELL. I personally dont charge for the post i charge for how fast the post will be put up. Some of the blogs ive written for get well over 100 emails a day requesting their music be posted therefore if you wanna cut the line then you gotta pay. Much like in life.

The second half of your post was nothing but pure unadulterated horseshyt of the highest order. I love artists like you. The "im too good and talented to spend money on marketing myself:scust:" people who always insist on telling you their expenses without taking the time to think about others. Eventually buddy your super talented ass will have to pay for something to get on.

If not a blogger a DJ, if not a DJ a program director, if not the program director the actual radio personality speaking. It's why Ford Motor Co. pays and flys my homey out to events all across the U.S., because he's considered an influencer and they know his good word will bring in more sales. Simple supply and demand. It's the answer to why shytty music get's popular. Now is it right or wrong? That's a whole different conversation. ALL the ATL artists who are eating good paid someone to keep playing their music and thus making them popular nationwide

If you wanna skirt the process that's fine and makes no difference to me. How you get on doesnt matter to me. But Major Labels have been doing it for years and it's still working for them. It's why legendary music label bosses like Master P would hire a call center to do nothing but call a radio station and request his music. Yea he didnt pay for the music to be played but he paid for something.

these are all examples of people paying money in hopes of becoming "pop stars"

some folks have no interest in "pop stars" and some artists have no desire to be a "pop star"

yeah, its a smaller group of people. but so what? its called the underground and its always been around. i've been happily listening to underground music for years. i feel thats where the real music is.

Honestly most blogging platforms stipulate that if you receive a PAYMENT for a post ... you are required to disclose that to the reader...

paying for a post on a blog that not even rank on Alexa in the top 2,000 :pachaha:

ive never paid and nor will i ever pay for a blog post and ive received attention from much more prestige's sites then yours ... artist need to invest in the RIGHT things .. guys like you con kid who dont know or dont understand how the system truly works...

why should any one pay for a post on a site that's receiving money from advertisers ... your double dipping and i feel sorry for anyone that's been con by you ...

an this is more for other artist hire a publicist or spend money on marketing director ... these guys who charge a post will never have any true traction in the industry ...

To be fair, its a blog and another website, its only realistic that these sites ask for money for unrelated content or media to be posted. You just have to discern whether the blog is worthy of the payment.

Sigh:snoop:

Actually my shytty blog got more than 7 million readers in one year alone and was ranked in the top 500 for the united states alone as well as being ranked in several countries. Ill find the pictures for you and post them if you'd like but ive posted several proof pics before on here.

The rest of what you said is horseshyt. If you dont wanna pay then dont pay:snoop:

Jesus Christ you artists ALWAYS complaining like bytches. If you got on without paying then thats really good for you! But everyone else cant have the same luck so them having the ability to pay to appear right next to your "im super talented" ass is leveling the playing field in my opinon.

Whether you get on for free or pay you still end up on the site and your video or song still gets traffic. If you dont have $10 to $20 bucks to spare then you're in the wrong industry. You keep mentioning blog but how about you walk up to DJ XRated or DJ Hollywood and try handing him your shyt to play in the club and see what happens. If theres no money with that CD it's becoming a Frisbee.

My whole point is very simple....if you wanna get on and popular in the music industry then you have to pay. If not then do you. No need for all the butthurt
