:ohhh:

Yo that's genius.

That hustla spirit :wow:

I was wondering who was gonna pick up on that little gem i dropped lol. Breh the music game is DIRTY and people will do whatever it takes to get that one hit because at that point you're pretty much set for life. All of the famous household hip-hop artists have paid to get on. EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. If it wasn't a good practice then the labels wouldnt do it because they aint in the business to lose money. So if the record label is still paying to get shyt played then that should tell you something.

Thats why i find it funny when these artists come around talking about keeping it pure and all this bullshyt. nikka this is a BUSINESS. If you aint ready to play to win then dont even get on the field. Feel me? Hate it or love it, if you're goal is to tour, sell merch, CD's, and build a brand you will have to pay.

Mac Miller used to buy fake views on youtube and now he's signing million dollar deals and has toured the world twice. Fake it till you make it. That's prevalent in every industry

Its no surprise @NerdNash accepts payola, no wonder he's such a Troy Ave supporter.. Hovain must keep his pockets healthy:mjpls:
We all know BSB got that unlimited budget when it comes to paying these bloggers and DJ's to co-sign Troy:mjpls:

Yeah the music biz has always been grimey.

But that Master P move demonstrates why some people win and others don't.

VERY creative.

I :salute: that hustle.

see that's that bullshyt right there

there are tons of rock acts who would totally disagree with what you are saying. look at ian mackaye from fugazi, he made a whole career himself, without the payola. he is entirely independent. and famous and successful. plenty of successful musicians think the industry is entirely full of bullshytters like yourself and many musical movements have been spawned as a reaction against that bullshyt. in opposition to it.

what about john coltrane? he wasn't buying banner ads and blog posts. he was just trying to be THE BEST.

if what you say is really how you feel, that there is no place in this world for "art for art's sake" then i truly feel sorry for you. because you are missing out on much of the richness this life has to offer.

and further than that: what do you say about some young unknown musical genius right now that surely exists, with no money in the middle of nowhere. you allow no place for this type of dude to be a part of the music scene. i think that is sad.

so you are out here, rubbing elbows, greasing palms and touching butts. my grandma raised me better than that. i can't act like i was never told. but maybe you were never told by your family, so i am telling you now. there is more to life.

there are many old time country fiddle players whose fame travelled far and wide back then and to this day because they were simply among the best. they had no money, only talent. you don't respect that. hiphop started out the same way, just some people who got together to enjoy music and it was a thing before the industry cats figured out how to monetize it.

very sad. you should do better with your life. because you are going to try and scratch your way to the top of a pile of cutthroats and when they are done with you they will throw you away. and the underground won't have you because you spent your life on hoe shyt. do better. and have a heart. reach out and show some kindness to your fellow man.

i see you here trying to make your point over and over again. i hope you can open your heart and hear some of the points these other cats in this conversation are making. music is important to us. it is not some conman's hustle. you got to choose a side. maybe you already have.

i am not surprised that me posting about payola got the industry plants in this forum all in a huff, coming in to discredit me. but let's be real, it is unscrupulous. you are a smart guy i bet. do better.

See I was gonna be nice until you started taking all these personal shots so now you bout to get this work.

First off I don't give a flying 747 fukk about any other genre of music or rock group. You seem to be stuck on CAC music like rock and shyt so by all means go into that genre of music if you wanna be on some hippy shyt where everyone rubs their nipples to your musi . This is hiphop.

Secondly, don't ever take no shots at me or my family because I've been nothing but cordial to you and tried to explain how blog owners think.

You feel really strongly about not paying anything to get your music heard and that's fine since you wanna just make music for your friends so it doesn't make sense for you to pay to get on. Or maybe your broke and need to beg illseed or grouchy Greg for a raise.

If you want your song spinning in the club, you gotta pay. If you want your song spinning on the radio you gotta pay. If you want your song on blogs you gotta pay.

You aren't entitled to shyt in this world and if you think you are and can make it without paying a cent, good luck and god bless because you're being a naive little bytch.

My family did teach me morals and values and I've used those lessons to get ahead. I'm simply telling you how records in the HIPHOP industry get broken. If you and that other CAC jimmy Valen CAC or whatever wanna do it different then start your own label, call it cac-a-lot records, and don't pay to get on. Come back and tell me how that works out to you. b*stard

i'm not trying to hurt your feelings. i'm saying music is older than records. records have only been around about 100 years. before that you couldn't take some music home. music is an experience. people used to have a piano in the parlor. that used to be very common. families would play music for each other. and that is beautiful. and natural. i don't own a record store so i don't separate music into all the genres that you might. i only know two types of records: good records and bad records. who got rich in between is not relevant to me. i listen to the music.

That's all good and great buddy but we don't all have your mentality. Some of us treat music like a business because we are trying to better ourselves and our situations . I stopped being strictly a fan of music a long time ago because I learned the music is only 5% and the business is 95%. That's reality.

I wish I could live in that magical fantasy land where everyone sits around playing pianos and banjos and shyt but I don't. I market hiphop music and I do it WEL . I can take you to the owner of HoodRich DJs penthouse condo and he will tell you the same thing.

i've already gone further with music than i ever dreamed. i've released records on labels in california, oklahoma, delaware, belgium, and ireland. i've performed on stages across the country and overseas. i met alot of fascinating and kind people in my travels. most of them were not trying to get over on each other, they were just enjoying life. next weekend i am performing at the silent barn in brooklyn. to me, i've already made it. ambitious people come and go, but the music lasts forever.

there's plenty of punk rock bands that tour the world and sleep on floors, legends who play for pizzas. because they love music. its not about money. it never was. music is older than records, its something natural that all humans respond to. the music industry has always perverted that. THAT is the nature of the beast.

Breh, your music is :trash: though. People love music that's actually good. That shyt you posted was hot garbage b :camby:

The worse thing about this whole thread is the song he posted is actually fukking horrible. It'd be one thing if it was actually good, but it isn't. And he has the audacity to think someone should listen to that shyt for free :camby:

typical industry plant shyt. its all over the coli. industry plants will trash an artist who is not playing their game. or they will post a topic about somebody paying them. the coli is smarter than that. these posts are just from this week:
