I remember hiphopinfinity...they hated my guts. I was the kid that ripped up Adeem outside of a show about 13 years ago...they put the vid up...strong hate for black rappers.

fukk hiphopinfinity.com,...
complete racist bozo agenda,...
so far fetched from the culture, it is a joke.

How long had he actually been signed to Columbia? Dej Loaf goes from almost complete unknown to viral sensation to a deal with Columbia in the span of a couple months completely on her own?
Try Me was added on my birthday and now she already on an Eminem album...
Chance the Rapper isn’t secretly signed, but I’ve talked to a lot of people around him, and I’ve yet to hear even a whisper involving a deal. I also haven't yet heard any of his songs on the radio, which is actually a huge sign that someone’s mindie. If Chance is secretly signed or backed by someone powerful, he’s been extraordinarily good at keeping it concealed.

Independent artists don't get on the cover of XXL w Lil Waybe and no one knows who he is

Hi, blogger here.

I've been blogging since 2011 and have written over 7K articles in my short career. I retired due to losing my passion for writing. Here's how we look at things:

First of all starting a blog is easy but getting a following is hard. I had to write 20 articles a day, EVERYDAY, for 6 months straight just to get up to the level of my first ad deal. So thats 6 months of working for free to get your brand visible to where you're actually building a reader base.

Then I had to write for 6 more months to get a good ad deal with Glam Media, which is one of the biggest and best ad companies out there. But at my visitor levels and the CPM we were getting the blog was making about 1500 a month. decent start.

From there we have expenses such as writers who have to get paid, hosting, premium tools needed to market the blog effectively, money for going to events and networking, etc etc. This adds up to way over $1500.

So heres the truth to why you get charged......YOU'RE NOBODY. If im getting 5K to 10K views PER DAY why should i promote your sub par music for free when you didnt help me get to this point. If you were hot and popping then we would've have written about your song and video as soon as it dropped. Stalley pre MMG and Stalley post MMG has his music treated way differently BECAUSE HE NOW HAS A MARKETABLE BRAND.

Stay with me here.....If your music is hot or you have lots of fans we post it up for free because we need the SEO juice to attract more visitors to the blog. If you're nobody we could potentially get you new fans and exposure so what's wrong with $10 bucks here or there. EVERY BLOG CHARGES MONEY, BUT THEY DONT CHARGE EVERYBODY.

The problem with rap music is no one wants to spend money to promote their craft or music, there's this sense of arrogance that people should automatically fukk with their music just because it's hot to them.....nah playboi if you're shyt aint hot cough up that dough.

This is a good summary. In all reality dudes with no following that make bad music should be pretty happy about payola - it gives them a chance to get on platforms that would otherwise say no to them.

nah nobody wants to be on a blog that runs shytty music for money. thats some rascally behavior. if you don't fukk with the music, then don't fukk with it. there are alot of folks with different tastes, something you don't like might be something somebody else loves. music is broad and versatile and nowadays people listen to many many different types of music every day. the audience these days is more diverse than ever. but the most important element for a media organization is TRUST. and people willing to sell that for $10? thats hoe shyt.

Then it's simple playboy......go get on those blogs. I aint saying it's the best thing in the world but why should i give you a free look when you not helping me? If you have no following or brand then the amount of people you bring to one of my blogs is still nil so i just spent time and effort typing up a great review for you in exchange fore maybe 30 visitors?

When I drop a chance the rapper article I might get 300 clicks THAT DAY. And im not personally attacking you but this is the reality. If you aint bringing nothing to the table dont expect me to offer you everything on a sliver plate. So whether you pay or not is up to you, but in the music industry everyone pays eventually. Thats just the nature of the beast

there's plenty of punk rock bands that tour the world and sleep on floors, legends who play for pizzas. because they love music. its not about money. it never was. music is older than records, its something natural that all humans respond to. the music industry has always perverted that. THAT is the nature of the beast.

Man you had some of the most creative beats I ever heard on the net. Good luck with your endeavors though.

Thanks breh i really go appreciate that! Im weird man. I go through creative spurts where I make music or I write or paint, then I stop cold turkey when i lose my passion for it. So i make good art but im not consistent because im a numbers guy at heart. But thank you though, for real
