Bigger? Maybe, think Run DMC's influenced different aspects of different cultures.

Are Outkast better? Absolutely, artistically, musically, creativity & any other aspect you can name in rap music.

Gipp has an excellent argument.

My thing is there is no other two man group that can say everything they ever dropped (group and solo) was classic material. All the way from Southernplayalistic to Big Boi's Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors is or at least can be considered classic material. That is what I would consider the best group ever.

Oh no doubt Run DMC is more influential to the culture and no one is overlooking or disrespecting that...but everything else goes to Kast IMO.

But who bumping Outkast today? None of their music has any replay value. It aged horribly.

It's technically true, Kast was bigger in sales etc. from a technical point of view as far as MCing goes, both Run and DMC were never monsters even their hey day.

it doesnt matter how hip-hop percieved arrested development. most of their sales came from people who like rap but arent really hip-hop like that.

Run-DMC is bigger and more influential, but I also believe OutKast made flat out better music.
