lol…what turned me off from the idea is a vid I watched mentioned how slow windows updates will be on the device…windows updates are already a pain in the ass on my laptop…I don’t want to have to deal with it on the deck via microSD

Yeah. Even though there's drivers to run it, I seriously wouldn't. Bad enough the damn beast sounds like Spirit Airlines just playing a hour of Yakuza.
I wonder what fan you have…I heard complaints about the fan but I heard the newer ones are from a different manufacturer so I haven’t noticed it sounding loud…truth be told I haven’t noticed it at all yet…the different fans is what led to the controversy with the dbrand cases…the detachable magnetic kickstand was interfering with the older model fans
I don't really mind the noise, compared to my laptop which sounds like ambient ASMR noises. It really depends on what you play and the graphics settings. Then again I could use the "Fantasic" app that came with Decky Loader.

what games you have so far?
rimworld, olliolli world, life is strange 2 demo (all 3 steam games) and game pass
the main incentive for considering getting windows on this device is it would allow me to download game pass games instead of just streaming them which would be huge for me

I have both portals on xbox (haven’t played them yet)…think I’m gonna double dip and get it on steam
