Shoulda been that from the jump. I always felt that’s what they should have concentrated on with the device
Why couldn't you stream your own games via the cloud before last week on your Amazon fire kindle stick without paying for GP ultimate?

You saying all this but I'm quite sure if a picture leaked of an Xbox handheld that's exactly the same as the PS Portal you'd suddenly understand ergonomics, ease of use and dedication for one feature for a device overnight
-Xbox says "we are making a handheld, it's awhile out though"
-In response PlayStation says "We already have a handheld and guess what you don't have to wait years to get it and you can stream games from the cloud now too!"
-The day after Xbox says "Guess what who needs a strictly handheld streaming device because now we are allowing you to stream games you own via the cloud on any "Xbox" Device".
Again if the Portal released as it is currently I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Initially when it released it literally required you to stream from your active home PS5 console to play games otherwise it was completely useless and had ZERO other features including web portal wifi connecting.... it was hot trash.
Y'all still went and bought it
After the latest updates it's almost worth it if you didn't have to have PS premium on top of the device.
I wouldn't knock anyone that went out and purchased one now tho

Missed opportunity imo.
I think had they advertised it as a standalone cloud device from jump it would be lots more popular.
