Big 12 decided not to expand. I know Rice, UH, and BYU was one of the schools in consideration to join the Big 12
clown shyt to be honest. Texas and the rest of them aint doing shyt with recruits anyways
part of the reason nobody takes them serious in football is that the competition is weak. Houston, Cinci and maybe even SMU or UCF could really make the conference more entertaining/give it more clout.

its politics probably....they probably look at Houston like "what do we need you for"
kinda like how Florida wouldnt allow FSU in the SEC

It’s wild because the BIG12 was such a storied conference with three whole college football blue bloods at one point .

Going to be a tough game for Syracuse. They need Quincy Guerrier and Alan Griffin to contribute today.

Agreed . I know it was rumored the BIG12 was looking at Houston .

And to think , these ignant posting dudes on here were calling for the dismantling of the BIG12 a few years ago ... thecoli, y’all :mjlol:

well there is some internal strife with Texas in the big 12 but the conference ain’t going no where, but the pac12 may dissolve

Would be a strong addition , imo.

the issue is everyone in the big 12 knows if Houston does, in 3-4 years it’s over H-town would clean up recruiting, imagine being a texas/Oklahoma kid and your choice of all them texas destinations, I’m going to Houston

:yeshrug: you can say it's wrong if you want. If you don't believe it plays a factor, I don't know what to tell you. It's why NYC has seen it's top kids leave the city for prep school instead of staying home.

the biggest issue for Chicago/Illinois schools they don’t recruit the city hard, it’s no reason the Illini shouldn’t consistently put out 5 studs every year, they drop the ball period

If DePaul throw the bag at him I think he would make the jump people outside of Chicago don’t understand how popular DePaul basketball team is in Chicago

idk fam i grew up in Chicago born in 83, the city semi embraced DePaul but it wasn’t like kids grew up saying yeah i want to go to DePaul, at least no one round my way, most folks wanted to be at Duke unc uk Cincinnati (bob huggins years) Indiana, like i said above if they recruited the city harder more kids would end up at Illinois
