His name is Michael-- or by your own admission Michele --so all that Miguele shyt should've been an aside. Throw it in parentheses and keep it moving. You ethered yourself there and then.

Secondly, you say you're writing it Miguele because Michele is too feminine and you didn't want to disrespect him. How much more disrespectful can you get than refusing to use his name and saying it's a bytches name anyway.

Then you say you're doing it to educate people. Y'know, because you're so smart n shyt. You don't educate people by misspelling something and then perpetuate the situation by continuing to do so. You spell it correctly, explain the pronunciation variations, and then continue to spell it correctly. If people don't pronounce it correctly thereafter that's on them. Finally, have you considered that his name is Michael and it's just being pronounced by the Sicilian locals as it would be for them? Similar to how someone called David is likely to have their name pronounced differently if they're in Spain, or France, etc.
