it's probably going to do well but not make enough for a sequel to make financial sense.

So is it considered a flop? It’s currently sitting at 110 domestic and 330mil worldwide. And it’s fading pretty fast, probably hit 140 domestic. It’s yet to open in the biggest market china, which will probably bring in 100-150 mil. So if it closes out around 500 million. That’s gotta be a flop considering the franchise usually brings in about a billion.

Not a flop but vin diesel was right. I expect the Rock to be in Fast 10.

I thought it was good. Idris did a good job as a villain, Rock/Statham had good chemistry, and the first half is really fun and has most of the comedy (didn't know about the 2 major cameos going into the movie so they were a nice surprise).

The second half sort of drags, and it definitely could've benefitted if it was 10-20 mins shorter.
