Yes, both the box itself and the UI feature cubes everywhere. It feels very reminiscent of Compiz Fusion (is that still what they call it? Dang thing changed names like five times) and certainly catches the eye. Whether or not it will be intuitive for end users remains to be seen, though. Most people don't tend to think in 3 dimensions that easily. Hence why Rubik's cubes are so hard.
Aside from the custom overlay the unit comes with pretty standard fare. A remote control with a QWERTY keyboard, voice controls (which are pretty much standard in GTV now), and gestures. In terms of hardware, the box features two HDMI out ports, an Ethernet connection, USB, and an IR blaster. The device will retail between $100-120 when it's released at... some point.

Devices like the Galaxy S III and Nexus 4 have already adopted Miracast as a solution for wireless media streaming, but without any boxes to beam content to the standard won't have much chance of rivaling Apple's AirPlay platform. Panasonic is aiming to do something about that at this year's CES, announcing a total of four new products that support Miracast streaming.
The MST60 and MS10 streaming boxes, the former of which is 3D-capable, are also DNLA certified, while the BDT330 and BDT230 3D Blu-ray players both allow for display mirroring. There's still a long way to go for Miracast to gain the level of traction it needs, but we do expect to see a few more similar announcements this week at CES.
Huawei won the latest battle in the smartphone screen size arms race today, after the Chinese company finally announced its long-rumored Ascend Mate phone/tablet hybrid. The Ascend Mate is dominated by its gigantic 6.1-inch 720p display, and also features a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera. The phone runs Huawei's Emotion UI on top of Android Jelly Bean.

"Devices need to become more intuitive," he says. Call out to gesture and voice control on TV, and the S-Pen, and putting Android in cameras and TVs.
Fitbit is one of the more popular choices in the personal fitness tracking space, and today at CES the latest device in the range has been introduced. The Fitbit Flex takes the form of a waterproof wristband. Like the existing devices in the range, it records information such as steps and total distance covered and sends this information to your personal website. The Flex will also keep track of your sleep, but with no buttons to enter sleep mode as on the other devices, you'll have to use either the mobile apps or the website.
Speaking of the mobile apps, one massive drawback to the current iteration of the Fitbit Android application, is the lack of syncing. All that is set to change beginning from the end of January or early February. It will start to offer Bluetooth 4.0 syncing -- initially, only to the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2, with more devices "coming soon."
