I'm enjoying a lot of tracks on this album but Tough Guy is probably my favorite. Never heard them before but fans and critics both seem iffy on this project. I'm gonna go back and see their old stuff but I really think this tape is dope
Wooooooooow. Holy shyt. Just went to their first album on Spotify and realized that I've got a couple of their songs on another of my playlist. THIS is that same band? The band that made The Fun Powder Plot? We Still Got The Taste Dancing On Our Tongues? I'm literally shocked. Not in a bad way or anything. Just never ever would have guessed that.
I had their previous album Present Tense but I never really got into it.

I love how they get the theme of the album across too. There's not much lovey dovey poppy stuff on it. It's all quite meaningful.
Agreed. It's like a really cool concept album mostly about how masculinity is viewed. But for real the album cover is dumb sick.

I have only gotten one listen in....a background listen while I was doing other shyt. Bon Iver requires headphones to fully critique. So I'm not in a position to give a rundown yet.Tell me more
But, from what I picked up, I will say I might be throwing out the word brilliant yet again to describe Justin Vernon. This is definitely more out there than his previous records. In spots it seems a bit slow, but not boring. In other spots its incredibly gorgeous in a very twisted way
It has me wanting to listen again. Thats a good sign.
