Barring any late year surprises (like D'Angelo), this is going to be the first year since 2008 that I haven't rated a single album a 9.5 or better
:francis:

Thats not to say its been a bad year for music though, I have still rated lots of albums highly

I still reserve the right to bump that Anohni score up though. Its floating on the borderline
:wow:

For reference, these albums I gave a 9.5 or better:

2015 - Sufjan Stevens and Tame Impala
2014 - D'angelo
2013 - Vampire Weekend and Colin Stetson
2012 - Tame Impala
2011 - Bon Iver and M83
2010 - Arcade Fire
2009 - Animal Collective
2008 - None. Horrible year overall

Finally got around to buying Bon Iver's new album the other day and it's dope... I highly recommend it for any fans of that genre.

Seems to have been a very down year for music in terms of quality releases. Looking forward to everyone's end of the year lists to see if I missed out on some gems that I should check out.

What happened to this thread? :mjcry:

I haven't had a chance to check out many releases in the past 2-3 months, was hoping to come in here and find some gems
