So then argue that point with him, I dont have anything to do with that

I was, I told him that I disagree with his leftist interpretation of reality, and I said I do not think discrimination in the work place is a fundemantal problem and you jumped in incredulously, you would have to say something different then newarkhiphop for me to have a different discussion with you

Nobody said anything about the left way being the only way. If Obama has made any initiatives on education or PIC, to me it doesn't matter because he hasn't made any inroads on the aspects that matter. Resources are still distributed inequitably, the justice system is still two-tiered, yadda yadda. And it was the same under the GOP's presidential administrations. The most egregious part with Obama though is he from where these systematic issues affect people the most, and hasn't done shyt to fix them.

You keep looking at things through this very narrow lens of your 2-3 talking points... you're way off base

I disagree I think Obama has made some inroads or at least has set the foundations. Obama cannot single-handedly change the justice system or I should more accurately say, he does not have the juice to initiate all of those changes and if so we need to formalize and make petitions on how he should address these issues, because it's clear he won't do these things on his own at this point, because he has no real reference point to do these things, even if he makes these proposals Lord knows that 75% will die at the floor at this point. Not saying we shouldn't hold him responsible but that cultural change is something that we can start right now and will have a larger impact in the short and long term.

I ain't really up for debating shyt :yeshrug: but for all this pent up anger and frustration with the prison industrial complex/war on drugs its pretty clear alot of us want action to be taken... *WE* the black men, women and others that actually CARE enough to get incensed by the current state of affairs have to be the ones to bring this to the public forum. nikkas bytch about hispanics and immigration (and granted, their growing population is a huge part of their friend power) but let's not forget all the damn protests, organizing, etc they've done over the past few yrs... remember 06? :wtf: they went ham. as it stands right now, even black people ain't concerned, so I guess is kinda unfair to expect it from Obama :ehh: i'm starting to seriously consider how i can play a role in bringing it to the national spotlight. cuz I'll be damned if I continue to just sit back and "talk" about what needs to be. fight with me brehs :to:

I didn't say it was a "fundamental problem", just that it was a problem worth addressing

The way you speak, its like the only issue worth addressing is the most important one... nothing else matters

"Institutional racism isn't the fundamental problem of the black community. It's education" :snoop: Racim is the cause of the lack of education in the black community. The anti-education mentality that permeates the black community is cultivated by the racist society/environment that we live in. Black babies arent born with an anti-edication "i dont wanna be shyt" mentality, that mentality is instilled in blacks by society people. Over 70% of black children are birthed by single mothers. You can't address the anti-education mentality without addressing the breakdown in the black family structure. You can't address the breakdown of the black family structure without addressing the fact that so many black men are in prison. You can't address the problem of so many black men in prsion without looking at the crooked justice system which targets black men and ostracizes them(us) from society. As hard as some of you want to try and :cape: for the white man and absolve him of any blame, there's no getting around the cause for the state of the black community being institutional racism or white supremacy/black inferiority. You simply cannot ignore that if you want to seriously discuss our problems. "never mind discrimination in the job market, we should just create our own economies" Well the only way for blacks to create our own economy would be to segregate ourselves and do everything for us by us. How many of you have the balls to advocate that because that's the answer imo. We wouldn't be able to segregate ourselves at this point because there's no unity amongst us. Again this all by design, it's not an accident. People need to wake up. Institutional racism is the fundamental problem of the black community. Until we rally ourselves and unite around that fact our problems will persist.

Nah don't sit back breh.

You said you wanted to be a teacher right?

Sometimes you can only save one life at a time.

I remember I only had one black male teacher during my primary school years. And never saw any black male teachers in middle / high school. Just being in a position to give guidance to presumably young black males and females at risk will put you ahead of the rest of the arm-chair activist in the black community.

Like TWISM, mentioned earlier just the presence, of :obama: being black was enough for me to feel inspired, to push through any setbacks. I'm sure being a teacher you'll also be able to inspire many enough youth in tough situations...

I just got into politics yesterday.
:troll:

:ohhh: come to think of it, the only threads in HL I've seen you in were related to science and technology...

No what? Don't quote me again if you don't have anything to say unless you just want to be insulted.
The whole premise of your post (black people are bad at education because of racism) is false

You are one of those goofballs who blames white people for everything and wants white people to solve everything... good luck

I said no such thing. Obviously you don't read too well. I said that the cause for the lack of education and the anti-education mentality in the black community is racism, white superiority/black inferiority. There is no denying that. For whatever reason certain black folk don't like to acknowledg this, it's the subconscious house-****** "don't bad-mouth" shyt.

I put the blame where it deserves to be placed. Nothing wrong with calling a spade a spade. I don't want/need white people to solve anything. You're too slow to even comprehend. My position is that whites are not going to solve our problems, I'm saying that they are the cause of our problems and it's not by accident. My position is that blacks should stop dancing around that and unite around it instead. We aren't going to solve our problems until we are honest about the root causes.

What is the difference between "black people are bad at education because of white people" and "the anti-education mentality in the black community is due to white people"

Potato potahtoe

The idea that we are where we are because the white man has us brainwashed is ridiculous. There are a lot of systematic issues that I think Obama should address, but you act as though white people have mind control over us. By that logic we will never break free, the white man wouldn't let us band together against him

We all share a responsibility to move this country closer to our founding vision that no matter who you are, or where you come from, here in America, you can decide your own destiny. You can succeed if you work hard and fulfill your responsibilities. (Applause.)

Sounds like Romneys speech to the NAACP.

You're still wrong. I said that the institution of racism(white superiority/black inferiority) is the cause, not white people. Miss me with your little games and get it right.

Black people have been brainwashed you poor ignorant b*stard. Have you not heard of the "doll test"? Everyone born and raised in Amerikkkan society has been conditioned to think that people with "black" skin are inferior, including black people. Wake up!
