Benavides is rican, correct ? I don't think Canelo has had....nevermind, forgot about Cotto :snoop:.
Nah. His pops from Mexico and hustled his way from the streets (literally) to Phoenix. That's the fight, but i don't see the A Team taking that one, too much risk vs reward.

I don't want to take away from Canelo win. Hats off. He's cemented.:salute:

I thought it was close. I don't know what Josh Taylor talking about. Power shots? Yes. Psychologically? Yes. On the cards? Close.

Like you i wanna see the legit scores at time of K.O.

Listen to the British broadcasters at the end of this video about their score cards. They all had Plant ahead before the KO, and they highlight Canelo and Reynoso arguing in the corner.

Just like every big close canelo Alvarez fight, I'm left arguing with people about what really happened. It was that way with both GGG fights, the Lara fight, and now this fight. At the end of the day the KO nullifies everything anyway

It wasn’t a close fight. Plant got knocked out.

It's to fight 3 times a year.. staying active.. something all elite fighters should be doing and used to do in the past
Staying active is good I just don’t think Canelo wants to face Dirrell of all ppl when there a fighters better than him available for that month.

The last time he fought a tune up that wasn’t a mandatory was Fielding but it was Canelo’s first fight at 168. Otherwise he always makes it clear he wants the top guys, something Dirrell isn’t. Just because he fought before Canelo here and he and his handlers want him to be Canelo’s next opponent it doesn’t mean he’s actually going to be, Canelo’s career is not controlled by any of these promotional companies, he’s bigger than that.
Besides Canelo vs Charlo or Benavidez are more lucrative fights too. Charlo hasn’t got an opponent yet, let’s make Canelo vs him for February, simple as… or even Benavidez or Bivol, latter doesn’t have a fight scheduled, former gonna fight a week from now

I understand the logic but risk v reward dictates he will sit pretty for a bit and then face a Direll type rather than a Bivol or Benavidez.

Failing that Hearn will setup a bum from UK or Eastern Europe for him to clubber.

He’s earnt a few easy ones for a while.

Can’t see him moving up unless an opportunity / ideal matchup arises.

Fukk it, just have GGG fight in late Dec and make the trilogy happen in May.

I didn’t care for it, but just do it already.
