“No tangibles, No vote” doesn’t make any sense in the current political landscape.

a vote for biden might result in:

- a substantial leap forward
- an incremental step forward
- no measurable change to the present condition of black america.

abstaining from voting or casting a ballot for trump might lead to:

- a marked decline in the mobility of black people
- increased persecution by a militarized police force given free rein to harm black people
- a court system filled with judges that will always rule to the detriment of black america.

seems like, if you are a black man or woman concerned with the welfare of our people, it’s a no brainer. i’m off that “no tangibles, no vote” movement. it might have made sense when the republican party was centre right.

but in the face of trump and project 2025, it’s dumb and self-destructive.

The brehs that actually vote, know this.

They know that midterms (national elections) and local/state races matter the most.

Think about it. If Trump wins, he's gonna do what lots of Republican do: give the states more authority since most states are "red" states...hence why conservatives love the "states rights" arguments. Regarding Trump or Biden, you gotta vote in ALLLLLLL the elections, not just presidential.

Both sides are gonna look out for the rich but Biden won't actively set us back. Worst case scenario, he fixes nothing. That's better than Trump trying to send you backwards 100 years.

Don't listen to tangibles voters because them nikkas don't vote. They can't tell you one thing about the GOP platform.

i would rather we exercise some forethought and not fall for the trick bag of emotional decision making.

:francis:
Or vote for white supremacists without tangibles like Boochie did, friend.
Anything in the last 50 years for black people:mjlol:?

Thats like Republicans bringing up the emancipation proclamation or the Reconstruction Act. Those republicans arent these republicans, and neither are these Dem.

And I agree, voting for Republicans isnt an option. Democrats simply arent giving us an option to vote for them, due to their inaction. #Bothsides doesnt explicitly say not to vote. It says dont vote without getting something to vote for. Why arent we asking why the Democrats arent giving us an agenda or plan of any sorts for black people? What are the counter measures for all these expected coordinated attacks on black people?Attacks that could happen whether Democrats are in power or not, like they have been through the legal system. It’s a sad state of affairs if this is too much to ask:respect:?
Spoken/typed with keen #BothSides insight, intelligence and scholarship, friends. :myman:

bothsiders are just a self centered and selfish movement. they have no plan except chaos. sounds familiar to a certain political movement that starts with 'ma' and ends with 'ga'.

not even the elders yall frequently talk about wouldn't want you.

if the felon wins and his minions implement project 2025, bothsiders will just say "dems should have..." while black folks lose even more wealth, access to healthcare, educational choice, housing, etc...

why don't yall have a strategy? shouldn't a strategy entail using the best options you have while planning to make better?

Please explain how herding million of illegals into Black areas on the taxpayers' dime doesn't actively set Black people back. Serious question. I'll wait.

Brehs from NYC and Chicago would seriously disagree with this.

Our strategy is to leverage our votes for actual benefits, but it's impossible when people like you won't even PRETEND to be willing to not vote Democrat to pressure them into bending the knee. If Black people 20-40 years or so ago all said "no tangibles, no vote" in unison, and stuck to it, we wouldn't even be here. The Democrats would have folded or lost, and then been forced to fold, and Black people would probably be in infinitely better shape, and reparations would be in progress, or on the way. There's a decent chance Philando Castile, Tamir Rice, George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, etc. would be alive. Black people's fear and willingness to go along to get along with Benign Neglect is why we're circling the drain.

Also, just occurred to me. When we ask why Dems do nothing for Black people, it's always "the Republicans wouldn't let them".

By that logic, can't the Dems just filibuster and block all this evil shyt that is in Project 2025?

have you even read project 2025? it circumvents the legislative process, bypassing it for executive fiat. if there’s a challenge, it will reach a court system that has been thoroughly compromised in favor of MAGA.

It's childish to center your politics around economics in a capitalist country?

That's crazy.

It’s childish when you consider the totality of the situation. Adults have to make nasty decisions every day where things are not perfect but it’s better than the other option. You putting your head in the sand because you’re not getting every single thing you want is childish.

I would respect #bothsides a lot more if they created a super pac. If they put their money up into an organization focused on lobbying to get bills passed that benefited AfrAms and funded politicians to primary other Democrats who weren’t working hard enough for us. That’s how an adult goes about things. That’s how the Jews and LGBT are moving. Saying you’re not going to vote and trying to convince everyone else to not vote is moronic and does nothing.

Looks like Project 2025 is giving some of you clowns a bitter dose of that “racism out in the open”.
:wow:
Would you rather have your kidnapper warning you right in front of you or have them behind your back without your knowledge or a warning, friend?:manny:

But I do remember Obama running on codifying Roe V Wade and when he got in office said it wasn't a priority.
Was that an acceleration of losing our rights when you know the Rethugs intentions are regarding abortion or nah?

The Dems didn’t overturn Roe v. Wade. The Republicans did due to the puppets they put on the bench. You morons spewed your don’t vote bile in 2016 which allowed Trump to get in, pick three judges, who then overturned Roe v. Wade, Affirmative Action and Chevron Deference. You learned absolutely nothing from this. In 2024, you’re spewing the same dont vote bile. Y’all should get banned at this point.

Ah yes, the pasty-white, Confederate flag-waving neo-Nazis. Well-known Democratic party stalwarts.:stopitslime:
They where 70/years ago

My point is #bothsides ain't gonna give you tangibles and even if they did it would work exactly how welfare did
