Where would that leave the Yoruba and other non Igbo southerners?
What about the Hausa and fulani can they coexist as a country?

No country with igbo or yoruba people they are just as much complicit as hausa fulani.

Either one nigeria or 6-7 countries. Most non yoruba or igbo like ibibio, ijaw, itsekiri, efik, urhobo, isoko edo, are indifferent towards both tribes. But would rather have their own countries plural.

The Igbos like Hiphoplives4eva should reassess their biafra map with igbo areas only.

the yorubas like Bonk should stick their own ethnic groups. It's really that simple.

When you tell igbos or yorubas that they start foaming at the mouth stop including others.

Do you really think seven small countries will work?
Do you think they lol ever be able to make it to super power status?
Do you think Ghana will surpass Nigeria as for as developing and building a strong democracy and economy?

1. No. Seven small countries will not work if each one doesn't have enough domestic resources to support their people. Trading can only go so far.

2. If they can get their act together and work together as a nation, they can certainly rival some European countries.

3. Democracy wise, they're already quite ahead of Nigeria and are doing pretty good for a country of their size. But they will never surpass Nigeria as the top West African country simply because Nigeria is a country of exports while Ghana depends more on imports(especially when it comes to oil) , which is not good in the long runm

Somalia got a lot going on today, we have for the most part put our differences aside while u Nigerians are headed towards the same path as we did in the 90's except worse cus now u have religious division in addition to tribal feuds and not to mention the most corrupt people on earth. Nigeria has enough resources to make it a first world country but people still live on less than a dollar a day smh

However u igbos are not getting Biafra, work with what u have already and make it better.

I wouldn't call them the most corrupt people on earth.

:mjlol: nonsense nigerians are not any more or less ambitious than Ghanaians, they just have a large population. Africans always include sentiment in their post. keep it simple and say no because Nigeria large population influences africa economically in the private sector and military by peacekeeping.

You don't think a conversion to solar energy can't alliviate that problem?
What are the new African diaspora those of direct African ancestry doing to improve their countries of origin?
Can they really effect change with their wealth and knowledge or can it only be don't by native Ghanaians and Nigerians respectfully?
I'm just trying to figure out what is the missing link between the educated and wealthy and why isn't it translating into progress on the continent.

It's not a competition!
I really wish Africans would realize this whether y'all West Africans realize it.
Wealthy Ghanaians will benefit Nigeria.

I don't know Nigeria to that degree. Off the top the main concern for splitting up would be the fact that smaller states would be easier food for The West and China.

1. :russ: hell no. but seven countries is what it will devolve too atleast. These nikkas talking about nutt ass referendums n shyt. like smaller ethnic groups(who number 80 million+) already dont have ethnic clashes. you can tell that dumb nikka that thought of that idea isn't knowledgeable about nigerians outside his own ethnic group.

2. Nigeria will always be a super power just because of size and influence of population. Ebola outbreak it was Nigerian doctors and nurses, Liberian civil war, Salone war, Somalia, Darfur Nigerian troops were the bulk. The country itself is shaky but their influence is undeniable. Business minds Tony Elumelu, Dangote, Jim Ovia, Adenuga,Ogunlesi, have multinational companies that are invested in all across Africa.

Basically Nigerian businessmen use Nigeria as a foundation before they venture out into other countries.

3. Strong democracy yeah bigger economy no.

How is their quality of life?
Do you think the yoruba Diaspora can get into government and turn Nigeria around?

Most Nigerians are poor. Yorubas are just lucky that Lagos is located in their homeland. Nigeria's diaspora cannot turn the country around. People within Nigeria can turn the country around. Then, the diaspora can return to help fully rebuild the country. Until then, the diaspora returns to build mansions amidst squalor.

Nigeria is not going to disintegrate unless there is another civil war. And there will be no civil war because neither side (Igbos, Northerners, Yorubas & Niger Deltans) are ready for that.

The country has a myriad of problems, which aren't beyond solving. Anytime Nigeria is pushed to the brink of conflict, it settles itself. 2019 will definitely be the ultimate test, but just like 2015 came and went without a major catastrophe, 2019 will do the same.

There is NOTHING that they can do?
I'm just trying to understand how all this education and wealth isn't translating into progress for the average Nigerian.

What is all of this ethnic tension stemming from?
Do you think Nigeria would benefit from having a ambassador program for the different ethnic groups to help ease ethnic tension and learn of each others culture?
For example a hand full of educated Nigerians are immersed in the culture of different ethnic groups as a means to create cultural awareness and cultural exchange.

Is there a healthy form of cultural exchange amongst Nigerian ethnic groups?

It seems like the biggest issue is all of the separatism.

Do the different groups intermingle, marry or do business together?

You're looking at things from a Western perspective, things that work in the US can't be easily applied to Africa because things are just done differently due to history and social hero achy.

It's not that simple as getting over 200 ethnic groups with their own identities and religious practices to collaborate.
