Because most of the time a man in that situation isn't gonna be angry. He's gonna feel defeated. That's the biggest blow that a man can receive is to find out that his family is a lie, that this woman he invested everything in, gave her his all, provided for, took care of, etc, was that lowdown and trifling to betray him in the worst way known to man.

A man in that situation most of the time is going to go through a deep depression.
