Love how this board is overrated the shyt out of CJ Stroud. :russ: Yes he is good but nikkas talking crazy in here. From he better than Mahomes to he the CLEAR 2nd best QB in the NFL. :russ: Like Lamar ain't coming off another MVP and over 350 total yards in game 1 against a very good Chiefs defense.

Lamar choked in the 4th like always. Missed wide open receivers in back to back plays. NFL James Harden.

CMC proving he’s overrated in SF yet again. They can get his production way cheaper but they’d rather run him into the ground to justify the price spent and to prop up his status:hubie:
That san fran offense is fool proof. Seems like they can plug anybody in it and they will succeed(besides trey young).

Honestly, what defensive line would stop this offensive line when this team wants to get MEAN on a game winning drive and start shoving a team back while slamming David Montgomery into them? The lightest player on that Lions offensive line is 310 lbs., has maybe the league's best center and is anchored by a generational offensive tackle.

Goff and the WR core are good enough to keep a defense honest and to make a quick strike, but that running game is going to be crazy. Arguably that's so much safer and effective than relying on forcing passes. It may even be predictable, but it doesn't matter if the other team physically can't do anything about it because they're getting little bro'd.

Same shyt that Harbaugh is most likely trying to build in LA.

I think down passing numbers are a reflection of this new wave in the NFL, not necessarily bad QB play. Goff can absolutely put up 300+ yards, but doesn't have to nor need to.

Lamar is very overhyped. Ppl keep saying he lacks weapons?. Well, he cant maximize them, anyway. Hollywood Brown couldnt wait to get out if there. Stafford had Odell looking like a near star again, while Lamar had him lookjng washed up again

I don't remember the exact number but I saw a stat that said passing TDs were down like 40-50% this opening week VS last year's opening week, and also down compared to the last 5-6 years. Teams were struggling to pass the ball and when that's the case you need a good run game. Detroit, Philly, Seattle, New Orleans, and a couple other teams were ramming the ball down defense's throats. San Francisco last night too.

More proof that the run game is important and having good RBs is important.

That #2 spot is vacant right now. Mahomes is that far ahead of everyone.

People always trying to put Burrow there when he's constantly injured or wildly inconsistent early in the season. Lamar still has inconsistencies as a passer and is held back by a lack of WR talent. Allen is turnover prone, inaccurate at the wrong time, and doesn't make the right decisions.

If I was building a team and Mahomes is off the board I take Stroud because he has the accuracy, decision making, poise, leadership, and protects the ball. He has the skill set without any glaring weaknesses. His path to greatness is the shortest. There's no he needs to spend an off-season working on mechanics, learn to read defenses, or go through progressions. He can do all that now and they improved the talent around him. All that's left is time to let the season play out.
How many playoffs games has Stroud won? :dahell: Ya'll tryna crown him before earning any playoff stripes.

Yup. Especially when defenses around the league are trying to defend the pass. A lot of big players going to run over a lot of small defenders.

The thing is the skill positions on offense are still fast, but it's these big ass 320+ lbs. offensive linemen running 4.x and 5.1 40's that are the biggest factors on that field.

How is a 2 time MVP overhyped :dahell:
Fukk an MVP. Drew Brees doesnt even have one. Brett Favre has more than Joe Montana. Lamar cannot elevate WR's. No WR wants to go there. DHop couldve signed there, he didnt bother. Im sure Odell regretted it, too.

He did suffer an injury, miss a full season, and pass 30 in between there. He might just be washed now. Cant forget McVeigh and Kupp helping out too.

2 things can be true. They havent surrounded him with weapons like Burrow, Tua, CJ, Purdy. But he has left something to be desired with his passing/decision making, especially in crucial games/moments. That said, the KC D is no joke he was a toe away from carrying his squad to win on the road. Most other QBs woulda been food for that pass rush.

The thing with Lamar is that people tend to go too far in one direction or the other. Its either GOAT or he aint shyt. Neither is true. I just wanna know what any QB not named Pat has done to distance themselves from him?
