They've proven that the QB doesn't carry that team. They could put anyone halfway decent back there because that division wasn't competitive and they had an elite defense and skill position players.

Purdy didn't make that team what it is. They were already established which is why he's not #2. He's had zero adversity so far.

If that’s the case I can say the same thing about cc. An undrafted rookie just came in a looked unstoppable with them, but he’s highly regarded as the best rb. No qb has looked this good consistently under shanahan, yes they have had success but it hasn’t been like this
