I can't help but laugh that they base these claims on CMC coming back full strength when he's been injury prone his whole career :mjlol:

It's funny, everyone acting like Cover 2 is the final boss.

They used to dice up cover 2 in the 2000's because there were boss tight ends during the time. Now we mainly only have Kelce.

West coast offenses with tight end and slot WR mismatches kill Cover 2.

Then the Legion of Boom blew up with Cover 3 and more teams countered it with screen passes.

It'll swing around again. Bowers on the Raiders is nice af, they just need one of those Super QB to pair with him in the 2026 or 2027 draft.
They’ve made changes that have made cover 2 more effective. Teams have smaller and more agile lbs that can help in coverage and they’ve added an extra db on the field too. Which is why running is more effective now b/c there’s no big bruiser run stuffers anymore. RBs just gotta get past the first line of defense.

I think the issue is less on CMC and more of a defensive issue and head coach issue. Defense looks like pure ass juice if they dont get a turnover, in times where many defenses look very competent and stingy

As they should he's seen every offense and playbook in his career, bryce has had 2 whole new coaching staffs in his 2nd year. Vets are expected to pick up and run, however won't be sustainable
:mjlol: yeah that's it

the coaches don't want to bryce to throw past the first down marker. there's so much confusion there. that's gotta be it

Yeah they've made modifications to it and you can even say the cover 4 or two safety shells have been a thing for years.

I really don't know why everyone is making a big deal of it.

There's also the fact some of these QB's are learning new systems as well with new coaches, coordinators, etc.

Midseason these defenses are going to get lit up. We just had a rookie almost put up 400 yards with one of the league's worst OL's, Kyler Murray had a 158.3 last week, etc.

Bad Defense and rules to help offense.

These guys dnt know ball frfr…

They would be calling HOF QBs bum if they looked back at their stats…

But m
You guys are saying the QB play is bad

Nah, it's just back to how it was for most of NFL history

The 2010s were a product of bad defense
