Honestly this. It's why all teams have a shot within that time range. Once it ends, your QB actually has to be good or else the contract will suck. The old way was much better. QBs with 70 million dollar contracts. Nowadays, QB are a low risk, high reward netsumThe next innovative franchise is going to be the one who has the balls to let an overrated QB go after their rookie contract and continue replacing these QBs while capitalizing on the most valuable asset in football (a QB on a rookie contract) which allows you to spend capital at other positions.
Which is where Lincoln Riley from OU comes in. He seems to be good at replacing QB’s after they leave.

The Bears D is a masterpeice. All they need Trubisky/Daniel do is just manage the game and NOT FUK UP. Actually very concerned as to how Dak will play them.
And Cousins...while he is an upgrade from Kennum, well at times....he not gonna be the one who can bring Vikings to a SB win or even a SB appearance.
He’s not leaving to get exposed at the next level. Same reason stoops never went anywhere. Same reason Saban backed out
Why wouldn’t he? He’s 36 years old and can easily make the jump to the NFL after the season and if it doesn’t work out, he can always come back.
Yes they do need to fix that offense...but their D still keep them in most games. Their D allows them time to get their O to gel...but ur right their O does need to level up.Bears are not making the SB scoring 16 pts a game. They have to get the offense fixed
Because there’s no recruiting advantage in the league
@Bryan DanielsonPpl will use this quarter mark to make a statement, we still don't know
That’s true. I could just see him making the jump or at least considering it. He’d have his pick at pretty much any open head coaching position and I could see a team making him an offer that he can’t refuse. Especially with what he is doing for Jalen Hurts right now. He’s caught lightning in a bottle with back to back Heisman trophy winners and potentially a third.
