If a QB was that replaceable it wouldn’t be as important, because if you get that QB wrong, you don’t get to choose anymore cuz you’ll get fired.The next innovative franchise is going to be the one who has the balls to let an overrated QB go after their rookie contract and continue replacing these QBs while capitalizing on the most valuable asset in football (a QB on a rookie contract) which allows you to spend capital at other positions.
I’m surprised that more teams didn’t make a run at Jacoby Brissett years ago while he was still with the Patriots. I remember Bill Parcells raving about him and his ability before he got drafted.
For the same reason why there are people who still downplay Brady’s success.
