Streaming service whether it’s Amazon or Apple seems like a lock at this point

What kind of streaming numbers does the MLB get on peacock and Apple?

They don't care. Jeff just wants to be seen. He wants people to love him and invite him to all the cool parties.
To a certain extent yeah.
But he has some good management.
He damn near shutdown Amazon movies and television after citadel and lotr flops.

I can see them quickly pulling the plug if they don't get roi

It’s not high since neither company has released the numbers. But NBA on Amazon could get at least 1 million for a regular season game if the matchups are solid imo

No it doesn't especially when you overpay.
Look at ESPN and how they are a money loser for overbidding on MNF, and college football contracts.
That's their parent company Disney losing and wasting money on other ventures like Disney+, their amusement parks, trash Marvel and Star Wars shows and movies, buying Fox, etc. Paying for MNF and college football has never been the issue for Disney/ABC/ESPN

Amazon has been waiting on this moment for years. It’s one of the NBA biggest tech supporters behind Meta and Google.

I really hope they put a good team in place because Al seems washed up

ESPN is the only property on Disney making money

That's highly misleading.
Typically espns losses are hidden in other sectors and made up by parks.

That is part of the reason there is a external auditor coming in.

ESPN failing is part of the reason Disney is getting ready to sell it

Nah like I said before ESPN is a loser, historically their losses and failures and overruns were covered up by Disney parks wholly

I'm pretty sure Warner Brothers Discovery is going to retain the NBA. They're doing a trial run during their negotiation window with the NBA that runs until May 2024 to do streaming of the NBA on TNT on Max.

Actually go look at the recent Financials. EsPN is profitable :hubie:

Also Jeff Bezos greenlit a bunch of shytty shows on Prime Video that cost astronomical money that aren't getting traction :hubie:
