These days the cops will charge you with murder if your man gets shot and killed over foolishness you were a part of..you don't even need to have had a gun.

Rest In Peace to the Man.

And the machine has become so prolific, they keep pumping out new rappers, profiting off their deaths and the cycle repeats. Sad man. Safe Journey to that brother.
at some point their numbers guys will convince the execs, its not worth it. like half your roster of rappers will die before they hit 35 and they may not even have a solid catalogue until they're 30. you put money behind marketing albums, touring, and other expenses. the returns have to be worth it over time

in the 90s there were a total of 10 murders of rappers for the entire decade

between just 2020 and 2022, there have been 15 murders ....in just 2 years.

at this rate, a total of 60 rappers will be dead by 2030.

from the article:
Two studies in the mid-2010s concluded that murder was the cause of 51.5% of hip hop musician deaths. The average age of death is between 25–30 years of age. Hip hop has a higher rate of homicide than any other genre of music, ranging from five to 32 times higher.

Yes. And what sells the most in rap now/for the last decade is pushing a culture of murder and guns, not Mos Def positive raps
So? Because of that you should rap about shyt you either did or not do? If you are rapping about dumb shyt and from that lifestyle then you should do all you can to get away from it. Stop giving degenerates excuses for their behavior.

men have been getting killed over gambling for centuries in every different region of the earth

this isnt a culture thing, this is a eons old problem of poor decision making skills in highly emotionally vulnerable moments.

RIP to dude, unfortunate.

Because criminals are branching out into Rap, especially since the bar has been massively lowered. I would bet most of these people that got killed were either a criminal, affiliated or being where they should not of been.

Mob Ties always involved. Only a matter of time until laws come after them for real and I won’t feel bad
