When chopping samples how do y’all get em to fit tightly within 4 bars?
Either make more chops

Find the bpm of the original sample and you could time stretch in certain daws.

If you're on a machine with no time stretch it becomes like a guessing game of changing the bpm of your track until it matches with your sample pattern.

Word I was messing around last night and didn’t realize I could change the sample edit mode to bpm so I can seee how many bars my sample taking up

Just copped that Arturia VST from splice...I tried the 3 day trial and the first 30mins I found several presets that were :ohlawd:

That prophet vst and Yamaha DX7 :noah:

So I got a nice 80s bass setting and I auto sampled it so I can use it for my standalone purposes :mjlit:

Brehs on budgets can fukk around and cop synths, auto sample them then return them a few days later
:lolbron:

shyt IS LIT! Beat making has never been so fun for me...:wow:

brehs...bout to get back into this as a hobby. Guitar Center down the street has MPC Live and MPC 5000, both used for the same price. Which one to go with? Is the X much better than the 5000 or nah? I like the Live just because its standalone.

Some cowboy bebop:steviej:

:whew:I was hesitant to push play. I thought it was gonna be

I've been wanting to loop that up since like 2005.

The real coke blues.

I don't want to hear that song sampled in anyway until I get off my lazy ass and do it.

I don't care if other people use or sample the same joint. If I hear something I like I just don't want to hear another person sample it until I get to do my thing. If I hear someone else do their thing first I always feel like I may end up biting their shyt.

id go with the live; portable, u can install own ssd, can be used stand alone or with computer, can be used in other daws, a current model. and workflow looks alot smoother than the 5000

the 5000 has the nostalgia and sound going for it, and its a standalone model which is all dope, but ur gonna be soending alot more time loading/chopping/sampling and programming all that shyt than u would on the live. and its pretty big

just my 2 cents.
