same price range as maschine mk3, 8 cv outs, touch screen, stand alone...looks like NI will be laying off more ppl

I agree, all Akai needs to do now is just create a software. They can get the throne back and this is coming from an ex mpc user converted to maschine user.

seems like they are getting there...i mean you can get a whole song done with vocals in the software now. and right in the hardware

aside, i dont have any experience with digitakt but ppl are saying this is a go at that box too

Have you used the Live or X before? Im curious to get your takeaway of those machines vs something like the mk3 and why you prefer NI in general at this point.

MPC one only has 4 GB of RAM :patrice:
NI just need to make a portable machine like the MPC live and they will be fine rumor has it its coming ....

I have not used the Live or X. I was a 2000xl, 4000, 1000 user prior to the Maschine. I prefer the Maschine due to the fact my workflow is a lot faster. Chopping samples is more intuitive on the MK3 than on the MPCs.
