Honestly, being from San Diego born and raised and having my entire family here is dope. My grandmother came down here from the great migration and all of us younger generation were all born here and are still here, but the only Black population we really have is Southeast, which is where I'm from.

I love my hometown, but have been in the I.E for 4 years. I don't see myself leaving California unless it's Atlanta, Houston, North Carolina, or Florida.

But, if you get the chance to move down here, do it. It's beautiful in California and I'm pretty sure we have little Black enclaves all around this state.

Bruh, with all due respect, for the next 10-20 years AVOID Florida. Theres nothing good out here fam, come visit and see places but to live here? Nah breh. Unless you cool with living the capital of MAGA.

I feel you, over here in the I.E they fly blue lives matter flags.

I also lived in Jacksonville for a year.

I hear you but is that crowd the overwhelmingly loud majority in San Diego? I was there for a short time but I didn't get those vibes as much, here in FL you gonna get the big ass pick up trucks with the Trump maga flags, neighbors doing the same and just everyone here being a piece of shyt. People were mad friendly in SD.

Jacksonville, to me, just a big ass city lol with nothing.

San Diego has grown on me but the lack of black people is hard to deal with. That feeling of going to a mall or large shopping center and being the only black person you see is so off-putting.

And that’s why I don’t ever want to live in the San Diego area again. I understand why white people can say it’s the greatest city but when Black people say it, I just

I moved here from Atlanta. I’ve lived in majority black cities the majority of my life so its just something I’m not used to. I guess maybe I know how the whites feel lol.

It definitely takes getting used to, it’s not a good feeling either.

I feel the same why on why people want to live in primary red states like Texas, Georgia and Florida just because land is cheaper and there more Black people there. Some of these states right now trying to suppress minorities from voting and make it easier to have guns for your angry cac who is mad that the world is changing. Each state has it pros and cons but overall I'm happy with my choice to move out here.

Yeah the closest thing I can compare it to was living in Europe which is like that alot of places. You go to Luka’s country and you’re probably the only black people you’ll see besides the others from the base. The women though :banderas:

You’re definitely right about states suppressing votes, it’s crazy that people aren’t outraged about it! We’re just living in a crazy time.

People want to move where they’ll be more comfortable and also places that they can afford. Claims expensive, it has its positives and negatives. I grew up there for the most part and know what it’s like so I have no interest in moving back.

I didn't grow up with Black teachers (we did have a Black staff in middle school, though.).

Personally, I prefer LA's Black community, they have a stronger presence in my opinion. My older sister and brother both work/live in LA. If I can somehow make my way down there with a good paying job, I'm taking it.
