I don't find Schumer funny at all, never seen a movie, standup or watched her show.
But, the show that was recorded for the Netflix special was part of her 2016 world tour where she was selling out arenas.
She was the first comedienne to sell out Madison Square Garden.
From 2013-2016 she had a Comedy Central show that received a Peabody Award, was nominated for 8 Emmys, winning 2.
She hosted the 2015 MTV Movie Awards.
She was the star in Trainwreck, a 2015 movie that got good reviews and made $141M against a $35M budget.
In 2015 she had an HBO special directed by Chris Rock where she performed at the Apollo that was nominated for 3 Emmys.
She wrote a book in 2016 that was on the top of the NY Times Best Sellers List and the audio book was nominated for a Grammy.
She does this while being friends with top people in Hollywood.
She's fukking trash but she has an audience, you can point to recent successes and relationships with other top celebs as to why Netflix would throw her the bag.

She somehow feels she hasn't milked this shyt enough. She should take all the money she'll spend on lawyers and go get on the road. If she's really kicking ass and has all this great material that makes her worth so much money she should take it on the road and remove the streaming service middle man. That way she'll pocket more profits and she'll give them the finger.
But if I say she is doing all this for attention I'm wrong. And people get all in their feelings. Fact is she needs to prove herself like everyone else. That's literally all she needed to do but she can't face the music.
