I dont think his one is that simple. I think MJF is going to go away while Punk slowly turns into everything Hangman said he would. He beats AEW guy after AEW guy until Tony has to literally beg the one person who beat Punk to get the belt back and its his 2nd worst nightmare MJF. Then MJF asks for ridiculous demands that are met and he beats Punk and becomes a hero and a super main event tryrant heel all on the same night.

ROH did something similar during the ROH vs CZW feud with Jim Cornette who hated Homicide but needed his street brawling for Cage of Death. Homicide asked for three wishes culminating in his ROH title win over a then unstoppable Bryan Danielson.

I hope thats what Tony is going for here.

This is the way

They probably gona botch this
They already did by removing all his merch and taking him off the roster page. They missed the most important part which is step 2, and that's the step in which the boss or authority figure has a f2f with the disgruntled employee. Removing him completely is supposed to be the follow up to that.

that would've hit better if we didn't already see it with Sasha and Naomi

It was a good promo, but if the person they're going to use to play off this angle is actually Tony Khan himself as an on screen character, then oof :hhh: Even the current flabby version of Vince McMahon has better TV presence than Tony.

It would be kinda funny though if this turned out to be legit and every step they removed things and take down the segment we all collectively just nod and wink and go okay breh:lolbron:

Yeah……Had to get them ratings tho :francis:

People want to compare this to Punk's pipebomb. Punk was negative about WWE but he also showed that he wanted the overall product to be better. He still sold a match against Cena that people wanted to pay to see. Punk still showed that he cared about winning the WWE championship even as he was "leaving".

MJF's pipebomb told us that AEW sucks and he wants to get paid in WWE. There's no authority figure to feud with, there's no match to sell. He shows no value in the title or company.

Tony wanted MJF to bury his company in front of Warner Discovery execs to pop a rating and still couldn't break a million:snoop:. These are the short sighted moves that can hurt a company long term.

Is tony khan gonna start doing on screen promos? That dude face is so annoying and doesn’t strike no type of fear when he gets mad.
Thank the heavens TK gave us AEW, but dude doesn’t need to be an on-air personality. He’d just expose his awkwardness even more. :mjlol:
