feel like mark davis only won cause TK didnt want 3 american guys in the finals
Also with OC and Briscoe being friends or stablemates if they even still are, that wouldn't have made much sense. Plus it gives the match one big guy instead of all small ones.
Not to mention the benefit if Rico beats Kenny and pins Davis even to capitalize on the arrogant heel role with some I beat Kenny Omega which DCF couldn't do. More interesting to segway into Ricochet vs DCF than anything with Briscoe. Such as Fletcher or Takeshyta.

I missed Rookie Toni...wish it went on a little.
Not seeing anything live so guess they already taped one episode or doing everything on Wednesday. Whatever they do they gotta make sure to start the broadcast off hot to capitalize on that lead in, especially if the basketball games are exciting. Can't have a good close basketball game with fans on the edge of their seats then start collision with some random promo or match.
I say no matter what, start the broadcast with DG & Cole in the middle of the ring and the bell sounds and they just start beating on each other. Viewers be like oh damn that was a great game, got me hype, oh wait what is this now
Keep the momentum going and hopefully the whole episode delivers. But needs a good start for sure especially with the late start.

I honestly didn't expect Mark Davis to win. Callis Family are jobbers. What does it say about the Don Callis Family that they all take Ls when Callis is around, but when he isn't there, it's Davis of all people picking up a win?

But yes, Davis getting the win was a welcome surprise. Too often on Dynamite/Collision the outcome isn't in doubt. TK needs to get better about that.

More surprises would be nice but it’s hard to script meaningful surprises without it feeling forced. You really need to have a plan to follow up a surprise with something to make it feel meaningful. Otherwise, it’s a surprise that’s just going to exist in the ether, done to accomplish something in a fleeting moment with no plan for it to really mean anything.Probably.

Like Davis over Briscoe. Okay it’s a surprise. But unless there is some fukkery, Davis is pretty obviously taking the pin Wednesday. Briscoe likely would have taken the pin on Wednesday too. The surprise result doesn’t meaningfully change anything for Wednesday. So what’s the follow up between Briscoe and Davis/DCF now to make it meaningful?
