The name of the game is making money. It’s clear sonys profit margin is the least of the 3. It costs LOTS of money to run the business like they do. It’s very expensive to make the games they make and to sign all those 3rd party contracts, and to advertise, etc. And they don’t make money off hardware. They literally testified in court that COD alone sustains their business. Now microsoft will be collecting 30% of sonys most important IP.
It flies under the radar but microsoft has IP like this.
Just printing money, and they don’t have to sell consoles to do it. Now they have COD and some mobile IPs that will do the same.
Both have been successful in their strategy as of late. Should be good news to everyone involved. But we can’t have nice things
