MCU is boring asf right now

I agree, but at the same time, I feel like the MCU has been Weak in saying and identifying, "THIS will be a Focal Point."

It's almost like they are searching for the next one, and not just putting faith into Core Heros and build around them.

they're spinning their tires right now, and i kept caping for them by saying it's partially due to covid and partially due to this phase having to be planned right before the Fox merger went down. they're trying to do all this multiverse/Kang shyt, but it's crawling

Because at the end of the day... those are Sony Pictures and Tom Holland is a Sony star. They got him for Uncharted too.

To do that they would need to reboot. If you want mutants and F4 in the current MCU and it make some type of sense you have to set it up properly.

Nah, that's what the multiverse is for. Just have a universe with mutants in it.

The problem for me, is WHO is the Kobe and Shaq of the MCU right now? It was Iron Man and Captain America. Right now the MCU feels a bit lost without those anchors. Is Wanda one of them? Right now there is no focal point, no key.

Black Panther was definitely supposed to be one of if not the anchor. I think they’re still trying to gauge who will be the focal points by how these movies perform in this phase.

The problem is Spidey is Sony breh. They can’t really make him the face of the MCU when he can technically be pulled/used without their consent at any moment.

Everyone saying "they gotta bring in Fantastic Four and X-Men" are forgetting that Marvel made hits out of B and C tier characters like Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Black Panther.

They did it with:
1. Great casting. Downey, Hemsworth, Evans, Boseman. These were all once in a lifetime castings. Even who they got for Loki and Star Lord was crazy good. Their charisma carried a lot of movies. None of these new people are touching that.
2. The overarching infinity stones story kept us interested even when the movies weren't so good (Thor 2, Iron Man 2 and 3)
3. Every now and then they'd deliver a legitimately good movie. Not a good "comic book movie". But a movie that stands up on its own like Winter Soldier.

Only unknown characters on that list are guardians of the Galaxy. The rest had cartoons and plenty of merchandise before the MCU. Y'all got to stop pretending Fiege turned water into wine.

I think they're setting up Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and Thor as the new focal points. Doctor Strange takes Tony's place and Carol takes Steve's place.

I actually think that's the plan. They are still explaining multiverse theory and what's possible. They will get there.
