O i agree there is still a narrative being told. I also understand we are going from 3 movies a year to 4 movies a year/4-6 tv shows a year as well so there's multiple plotlines all moving(Multiverse/Thunderbolts/Young Avengers etc). I'm also a mcu nerd though and that's asking alot from just a casual viewer. There's no big overarching threat for the casual fans to be aware of right now and without that connectivity people are saying it's "boring"

At the end of the day these movies are still doing ridiculous numbers so it's all just chatter amongst the fanbase. As someone else said on here Marvel has no competition so people are just comparing it to themselves at this point.
Whether a person is a fan of MCU or not the thing is -everybody knows what a good show is these days. That casual or non Marvel fan has still watched GOT, Breaking Bad, Ozark, Lost, Mad Men, The Sopranos, The Walking Dead, etc. People are now knowledgeable about plot, character, pace, story, good acting to reel them in and wanting to watch the next episode to see what happens next. No matter if its a MCU show/movie or not, MCU still falls under these same guidelines when it comes to tv and movie making. Some people want to skip that fact all the time when it comes to MCU and comic book films in general.

Honestly I know the multiverse is supposed to play an important part but the only time I’ve ever seen that type of story work on a massive scale is Crisis and that was because we had essentially watched several versions of heroes on different earths.

The MCU is the only one we care about. I don’t know much about Kang but there just a similar level of “eh” about him potentially messing with stuff the same way time travel stories have a certain level of…why not just such and such.

Gotta give Feige and co. the benefit of having done it multiple times now but I really don’t see it.

I'm not too sure about that

People either don't know, or they don't care, and they're willing to die on the hill that it's good, because they like it

Only unknown characters on that list are guardians of the Galaxy. The rest had cartoons and plenty of merchandise before the MCU. Y'all got to stop pretending Fiege turned water into wine.
I didn't say they were unknown. I said they were B/C-tier to general audiences.

Tell kids in the 90's that one day a Thor movie or a Black Panther movie is gonna make more money than Superman or Batman. You'll get laughed at after they ask you wtf is a "thor". Let's not kid ourselves about the accomplishment.

Black Panther was definitely supposed to be one of if not the anchor. I think they’re still trying to gauge who will be the focal points by how these movies perform in this phase.
You would think Mackie taking on the Captain America mantle would be ideal, but him not having powers and then the whole multi-verse Captain Carter possibility kind of takes away the momentum for him to be built up.

Who knows how long Hemsworth is going to stay on, if replacing him with Portman as Thor is the direction they're heading that's going to be a terrible route to take.

The only thing I find weird when every time threads like this are made or cats do the “I’m tired of comic book movies, nobody cares about…, I don’t want….” Etc type post.

It be like 500 movies that drop a year and maybe 5-8 CBM and only 3-4 be Marvel.

Why the fukk y’all ain’t watching;
Death on the Nile
Downtown Abby
Everything Everywhere All At Once
The Northman
Ambulance
Unbearable Weight it Massive Talent

Like literally 200 movies have been domestically released this year but niccas mad at 2? :mjlol:

Nicca go see shyt in this list:russ:

Ain’t nothing forcing no one to watch the CBM
Blockbusters suck all the oxygen out of the room. Look at how much hype Top Gun II got, anything in theaters against it is getting smothered

I don’t believe that.

But entertaining that for a bit….. who’s fault is that? Not the blockbusters :russ:

CBM and Blockbusters haters maybe need to off their social media and asses and maybe go to the theaters to see The Desperate Hour or Full Time….

If they really bout that life :mjlol:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
But when I said Phase 4 was gonna be trash outside of Strange and Spidey, nikkas acted like I was insane. The shows ain't up to par, the movies definitely ain't up to par... They are putting out way too much shyt and it's getting convoluted.

I know they have to maximize, but they are stretching fans thin and not feeding them with anything worth a damn.

To do that they would need to reboot. If you want mutants and F4 in the current MCU and it make some type of sense you have to set it up properly.
No... You really don't. We just saw mutants in the multiverse. They could have had Strange bring them in by mistake and keep it moving along. Hell, he could just bring the gene in, like Venom just dropped his symbiote off, and then do the origins from there. fukk it. Start the school up in 2022 and lets keep it moving along.

You don't have to reboot the entire MCU to bring them in. And they surely have no plans to reboot this at all

No. That would be a rush job and make no sense. There are not only the X-Men there are their mutant enemies. Then you would have to explain why people are being born with super powers in the MCU all of a sudden. It's a lot not just some hand wave shyt.

And watch them hand wave this shyt.. Yes in a perfect world, they would do what you're saying. But this is billions of dollars in.. They are in Phase 4. Do you honestly think they are going to reboot the MCU in Phase 4? How about Phase 5? Nah they wouldn't be almost done with this phase and reboot the very next one. So we're already in the 2030s now and you don't think they'll introduce mutants yet?

Marvel has already introduced mutants. They are in the multiverse, they were shown in live action, they didn't spend 1 single second explaining who they were, what mutants were, nor what their powers fully were... And yet, everybody and their mama knew what was going on. If they didn't then, they know by now. And the train just kept on going.

They are going to introduce them in a few movies and I fully believe the multiverse will have something to do with it. Hell Phase 5 might be the mutants. But to reboot. Nah. They will not be doing that.

I never said they were rebooting. Read the entire thread I think they will use the multiverse just not by accident by Dr. Strange and not quickly. The process of bringing them over will be part of a multi movie story.
