I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
My interest in comic book movies has been wanning. When I eat too much of the same thing, I eventually get tired of it and I'm starting to reach that point. The next line of Avengers coming up looks :coffee: compared to the OG team and none of the 2021 movies have really impressed me in the long run. They're one and done and that goes for Spider-Man: NWH too. I tried rewatching it twice at home and it eventually became background noise for me. Dr. Strange got outshined by Top Gun, and I feel like Thor won't be able to outshine Maverick either. Most of the MCU shows have been :trash: . Is anyone still talking about Moon Knight? Or Marvel What If? Or Hawkeye? Or how about that Ms. Marvel show? She-Hulk looks terrible and there's no way to even get around that. I'm not even looking forward to Black Panther 2 considering all of the controversy and delays surrounding it. I've never been much of a F4 fan and they usually get outshined by their villains (Doom and Galactus) and my interest in Deadpool 3 has been fading, but it's still slightly there. Maybe down the line when the X-Men eventually show up, I might get some interest back.. It's been a good run. If you told me in 2005 that we'd see that Avengers Assemble scene from Endgame, I would've laughed and told you that was a good joke. I'm sure people will still flock to the movies to see these movies for awhile even though you'll inevitably start forgetting about them a week and 1/2 later.

i been sayin for about 3 years now that they should have X-Men off the ground by now. The fact that they don't have a cast/script/director etc. is crazy.

We not gonna get an X-Men movie until 2026 at the earliest :dahell:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I never said they were rebooting. Read the entire thread I think they will use the multiverse just not by accident by Dr. Strange and not quickly. The process of bringing them over will be part of a multi movie story.

Post in thread 'MCU is boring asf right now' MCU is boring asf right now

To do that they would need to reboot. If you want mutants and F4 in the current MCU and it make some type of sense you have to set it up properly.

And I’m saying they don’t need to reboot. They already introduced them. They’ll bring them through the multiverse and then start making films on them in the mcu.

Now I can’t really grasp what you are saying. You said they’d need to reboot to bring them in. Now you saying they just gonna do exactly what I said they’d do. Which one is it?

WandaVision is my favorite of the shows, one of my favorite Marvel projects alltogehter.

Based off the first two eps of Ms Marvel, it has potential to be the best show they've dropped since WV or Loki for some.

They are going to do what you said but take the time to set them up properly. The mutant they introduced died, it was just for shyts and gigs. lol Bringing them to the MCU via the multiverse will be an event that happens over years not something that happens in Doctor Strange 2 and as you said, "Start the school up in 2022 and lets keep it moving along." It’s gonna take a bit longer. Maybe BP 2 or Antman 3 has a teaser for mutants but it won't be anything major until the current announced slate is done.

I don't think they have a plan and are just winging it
Fiege just met with the rest of his creative team to plan the next ten years of Marvel…but that being said….

I agree 100%…i mean some stuff has been cool but most has been pretty mid

X-men 97 will bleed over into the MCU, probably in a loose HOX/POX adapatation, which some people won't like. But it really makes too much sense not to do it that way.

The notion of re-treading their origins and having new versions of these characters for this timeline is the worst way to go about it. The best iteration of the team has been from the animated series, all you gotta do is cast live action versions of them and show how those particular mutants make their way into this timeline.

I think they're setting up Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel and Thor as the new focal points. Doctor Strange takes Tony's place and Carol takes Steve's place.
Putting Carol in Cap's place is going to be the hard sell. Strange already has a similar personality to Tony, so that's not a problem.

The Tony/Steve dynamic worked so well because it was jokey Tony playing off the straight man Steve but I don't know if Carol has the charisma and charm to fill that role.

They pourin jelly on themselves for not immediately adapting an MCU Xmen and Fantastic 4, nobody give a fukk about these obscure heros

I agree and disagree…no one wants to see a revamped x-men more than me under marvel’s current guidelines…they’re gonna ace it but I think they need time with it…hopefully a couple more years tops…‘no way home’ was cool and I want to se the new strange joint…I haven’t bothered with shang-chi…actually I wanna see the new thor as well…should be fun

*edit*

apparently there is a black widow and eternals movie as well…those are both shang-chi status…haven’t seen em and there’s no rush…might just skip them altogether…I’ve seen all the rest tho so maybe I’ll fit these in on a real boring day when I have nothing left to watch

…also I haven’t bothered with the disney+ shows…I can’t help but feel like they’re watered down “money-grabs” to boost the streaming service…same reason I haven’t watched the star wars related shows

Shang Chi is decent, Eternals is one of those divisive joints, some people love it, some hate it, I liked it a lot.

And not to spoil anything, but in regards to the mutants (not necerily the X-men themselves) there are some elements in Eternals that may be important to at least know about. There is an X-men/Eternals/Avengers cross over that tie in to Hickmans X-men stuff called Judgement Day that will probably end up on screen in some fashion.
