See here’s the thing, you could be right and you certainly have the right to that opinion, but new pop music is still music.

if Marty just said he didn’t like marvel movies, I don’t think anyone would have a problem with that. But saying they’re not even cinema just makes him come off as an out of touch, elitist hater.

I don't think he comes off as a hater. He only appears that way to those he has offended. He comes off as a critic of modern cinema. He's stating his opinion based on 40 years of experience in the business. Most can't say the same. Our opinions don't hold as much weight as Martin Scorsese's.

For example, if Nas were to critic a hip hop artist, who am I to tell him that his opinion is wrong and he is a hater? He is an actual rapper and has been in the business for 30 years or more. Or if Janet were to critic pop and r&b music. Who am I to tell them they are wrong? Same if it was George Lucas or anyone else who actually works in the business for such a long time and earned the right to critic others. My opinion is dust compared to theirs.

I'm biased tho when it comes to this topic just like you are.

Goodfellas and Casino aren't appealing to the masses? They are some of the most watched films ever. They have been on regular TV for a couple decades now every single day they are playing somewhere

Hmm . . . don't people involved in an industry have a hard time being unbiased or self-interested? Regardless the ethics of a job we all battle with being ethical vs maximizing our earning power.
So one of your examples, what if Nas is reviewing Dave East's album who we know he directly benefits from this artist or he is reviewing an artist we don't know he doesn't like from a business or personal experience he has had with them. On face value he might seem to be giving his honest opinion but there are other things going on besides a review of an album. Because of the unknown of a situation from an 'expert' observers may even downgrade someone in an industry versus a disinterested party.

Hmmm, I wonder if all said here applies to Marvel movies plus they made a shytload of money at the box office in comparison. Not really spelling out any difference between his movies and Marvel movies here.
