ain't shyt change. financial freedom is the only freedom. Marcus knew that.

people don't have the ability to come together toward this goal without a unifying force of leadership.

Just like any self proclaimed intellectual in history, Moziah was right about a lot of things, but he was also wrong about a lot of things, just as was were du bois, Lazaro, etc.

Progress in the Carribean and Africa where the majority of citizens are of the same race came from nationalism first and then continental unity, racial awareness counted for little because of the conditions.

Every policy has a set of consequences that come with it, that's why politics can never end, and that's why is ridiculous to think that there is one set of solutions that will end the problems Africans face today suggested by either of these men.

Having a stranglehold on Africa isn’t a stupid concept, the only problem is it relies on continental Africans to pull their weight which many haven’t. I don’t think you can knock a man for trying to actually give back the Wealth of the richest continent in the world to its people, and how that could benefit people of that race worldwide.

Africa has been cut apart for hundreds of years, it has had involvement from everyone from the Roman Empire to the British Empire to the CIA and FBI for a reason, any time a prominent leader has arose I.e Patrice Lumamba, these leaders have been compromised using outside forces....

The question is why does the rest of the world have such inter3st in Africa, why do all these leaders dice up the continent and continually involve itself in its business if the continent not of any worth?

The whole reason we’re even able to talk on the internet today, is because of minerals found in Congo, the tech industry that includes conglomerates such as Apple is directly tied to this....

So in my eyes it makes sense for Black people to take extra concern and attention in that continent in an ideal world, nothing wrong with that at all, the Chinese do, the White Europeans and Americans do..... European and American prosperity is directly tied to the suffering and exploitation of that continent, this is complete facts.

There is no hold your own nuts in a global world which relies on Minerals from Africa and the Middle East to exist in its form today.
That’s really the lands of the lord. They told us about gold and diamond never about oil and mineral

Having a stranglehold on Africa isn’t a stupid concept, .

No one really had a problem with that; Afram leaders/organizations pretty much put into play every idea/concept in 19th century that Garvey tried to bring into the 20th century:

what afram leaders had a problem with was the recklessness Garvey had coming to the American shores and potentially causing divisiveness along with undermining them with unfathomable acts such as working with the KKK/racist white leaders & organizations

Thanks! Any books that cover if he ever spent long periods of time in the South. Like Deep South - where most Black (American) folks was at?

I don't think I have ever read anything about that in the books I have read about him.

Some info on Garvey and the South. Apparently, Garvey was too shook to fuk around in the South because he knew them cacs down there didn't play; this is part of the reason he started c00ning for the Klan, which Dubois called him out on

He was OFF for-real.

Where was he getting the lack of racial pride from? Our ancestors had that and more. It has never been a problem for us to come together due to race. We had no other choice.

That is why he liked the U..S and Black Americans - because of that.

To pit and encourage the white terrorist to do as they please (kill, rape, lynch) and say that the very Black people who built the U.S. (railroads and all) shouldn't be able to use/profit/etc is all the way out of line. And to say this at the height of lynchings and where 4 out of 5 Black people were - and then take your ass back to the North and talk shyt -- no words.

Every leader/person is full of contradictions, most of what your posting isn’t even directly from Garvey mouth.

And he isn’t the only famous black leader to have or try create dialogue with the KKK

Yep. Malcolm X and the NOI met with both the KKK and American Nazis. I learned about all the angles of the struggle in Africana Studies in college (shoutout HBCUs).

When I read about black men who went toe to toe against white supremacy before the invention of modern technology, it really puts into perspective how much we're bums.

Imagine if Garvey or Dessalines or Malcolm had social media and could communicate and conduct business on a global scale.

We truly are bums.

I also think the reason why cacs were so directly violently and slanderous against black men in those times was because they seen black men were truly brilliant.

They seen the intelligence ... they seen the courage and willingness to die... they seen the raw black masculinity and had to stomp it out directly.... they couldn't let the seeds of greatness blossom unchecked.

Nowadays nikkas are so confused and lost -- cacs dont even need to waste energy committing random acts of violence anymore .... all they need to do is bribe nikkas with some money, a steady paycheck, the potential of fame & status and our people will sell out to the lowest bidder.

Cacs not even scared of another Garvey or Malcolm popping up because most likely he was already aborted before he could arrive on the planet.... or he's somewhere working a job and cant speak his mind.

Whites weren't scared of Garvey though.

They supported him.

Malcom yeah they were. They were scared of MLK too. Anyone Black who was for the betterment of their people -- and kept pushing no matter what. That is what scares them.
