shyt is getting really interesting now :ohhh:

The big reveal in this volume is the fact that the monsters were created by the humans. Based on Yellow Keeper and D's conversation, it sounds like that is the road this series is taking. It is interesting since you know the Rangers were keeping a secret. It does beg the question of how did the monsters branch away and rebel against the Rangers? The Divine Artifacts comes from actual people? :damn: This definitely coincides with why Suzukiri wants to rebel against the rangers. But to see what looks like copies of her? There might be an even bigger secret. Looks like some disagreement with Red Keeper.

Now the interesting thing if the Monsters and even the bosses were experimented then it makes sense that the doses can replicate them. Ultimately, the Monster Protection Society is more so people who got screwed over by society. The looks of it, one dose seems to make you into a hybrid like Angel. But two surely cause one to lose their humanity. As we see, the effects are that.

We see the Blue Keeper back, but instead of the old Blue Keeper it is Keisuke Souma who takes the role. A guy who thought he was going to be Blue Keeper, but like in a job interview not keeping not updated he got shocked when Shougo got named Blue Keeper. While it is true, he will not be accepted, like Shougo. I am curious how he will show with his actions.

Curious what is going on in Hibiki's mind when Yakushi offers the ability to become a monster to him. Though no surprise, Hisui declines it. Still, it shouldn't be forgotten that the Dragon Keepers are monsters in their own right. Yakushi turning into Deathmecia who would seem like the ultimate monster. Given that he wasn't the one seen before, is just what Yakushi considers what would be the ultimate monster? As he is a Rangers fanboy. Him giving the Green Keeper trouble makes things interesting. Kind of difficult to see how D will fit in through all of this.

The match between Sunraku and Kei was pretty quick, but really set the tone of Kei needs to step up to beat Silvia. As Sunraku's reaction times made things apparent in their practice match. The fact that Silvi out paces and is faster than Sunraku says a lot. Granted, she was playing the game longer. I am curious what Kei's strategy is.

Meanwhile, Sunraku ends up playing SLF for a little break between the practice matches. It gets mentioned that the area is very different at night and of course he runs into "The King of the Deep", Atlanticus Lepnorca. His main goal was seeing if how he can figure out how Ctarnidd rebuilds the ruined cities and structures. As he baits Atlanticus to attack, he notices the Tower is unaffected. As it is home to the blockers, which is key for him going forward, he sees that the Tower can reflect attacks. That is pretty useful information.

Of course, can't do much more if Atlanticus is still attacking Sunraku. He does notice that when he hides with Inventoria, Atlanticus much like the Crystal Scorpions have improved AI for Inventoria camping. Sunraku comes with the idea to have Araba distract Atlanticus so that when Sunraku comes back he can bait in a position where it would use its lightning blast at him, which would hit the tower. Really sound strategy and shows Sunraku's ability to adapt. Leaving Sunraku just to deal a big final blow. Atlanticus living up to his title leaving Sunraku to have to log off. Though the reflection ability of the towers is important going forward.

For Kei though he gets a call that his manager forced him into a competition for Ruins War hounds, which creates a conflict of time between that and Galaxia. Though Towa suggesting to drag out the Galaxia match until Kei comes back. Although Silvi wanting to be first rather than last would create a huge problem.

Damn this chapter was short but heat :damn: :whew:

Finn still shadowing Will and this chapter gives the implication there is more inside of Will that we still haven't scene. We see the woman who was in the flashback who was talking to Finn. Adds some more layers. In a favor JJK Sukuna manner gtfo,

I assume a big thing for Lihanna is to be able to snap Will out of it because the concern is if he goes out of control could be pretty bad.

New manga debut from the author of "Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun" & Artist that formerly worked on "Act-Age". Solid chapter 1. Potential is there for the magic system to be really neat. Mc being a hunter and becoming a Wizard could be an interesting adjustment. Although since only female and therefore witches could be something that can make or break this manga.

Akane-banshi Chapter 125

Brilliant chapter. I feel like seeing Shiguma in the story sets the tone of them being so immersed in the story they literally see Shiguma. I think this adds a layer of storytelling that Shiguma brings to the table. As we haven't seen that yet.

Didn't expect a wholesome, yet sad conversation between the Mikado & Tokiyuki. Simply put the Miadko was homesick. It represented the time when he had nothing. As he gained more power, the more foolish you could say that he was. Perhaps even lost his way? Perhaps Akiie would still be alive if he wasn't so insistent on returning home. He is well aware of his selfishness.

While the experience of working alongside Akiie was of great value. Tokiyuki and The Elusive Warriors are at their best when they can act on their own and not tied down. So, instead of offering more responsibility onto Tokiyuki him with more chances to be home and be more independent. As Tokiyuki grew because he lost everything.

For a character that felt very intimidating for much of the series. It's nice to see the gentle side of the Mikado and to think if only his son wasn't lost.

So, basically with the experiment with Nanao, he can replicate Nanao's adaptation blooming. Simply adapting will eventually hit a plateau, in which case regressing can offer an ability to grow. Curious how this exchange goes.

Hina seeing a different side of Haruto that impressed her. Despite her reactions, it's clear she quite fond of him. Honestly, their dynamic is really nice. Hina is an energy bunny and Haruto is very self-confident in what he believes in. He can give the wrong first impression to Hina, but he clearly is a very genuine person.

Kyo very well knows Saki is lying again and she is not ok. I mean having to encounter your Ex stalking you is an uncomfortable situation. I get that progress with regards Ayame & Kyo is really hitting a slow point. Kyo in his nature, is a good guy, I would assume it would put him at ease to know Saki is ok given they are childhood friends.

I have been enjoying reading this manga. It has the same premise as SAO in that being stuck in a VR gaming world. Instead of the view as a player (where SAO has many issues), QA puts it in the view as a bunch of developers. As a software developer, the series caters to me and the jokes are really good if you worked in the field. It's been mostly a comfortable read, but starting in volume 5 it is starting to expand to a degree.

The really interesting bit that there are 5 Meta-AI like Telsa. Although, as we see from Alba, he is plotting something in which he wants to prevent Haga from reporting him. The one concerning thing is that Nikola hasn't woken up yet. At the very least, Akane and Akira are not truly aligned or in plotting with Alba. It is really good that the group was able to meet up and imoblize the raid boss, but they need to figure out how to deal with the 2nd phase before they can think about getting out.

Also interesting bit with the theme of this series we have a debugger whose character model can't be read properly :pachaha:

Getting some interesting characterization from Akira in this volume. The reason her specifically is so willing to live in this world is due to her age. Being a college student having this be your first experience on a job most be traumatizing. It makes a lot of her actions make more sense as she is more likely less emotionally stable.

Kind of funny that Haga found an infinite combo glitch that you find in fighting games. Although him realizing that it is overkill after using all of his potions is funny af. While them making to the bottom of the dungeon isn't a glitch, the teleportation assume you are starting at the top not the bottom.

The concerning part with the Telsa subplot with the other meta-Ai is actually concerning. Actually, the ironic part is that the other Meta-AI only concern themselves with the outcome, not the process. Then only caring about the main quest testing since debugging in general is not their job is very funny in Development jobs. It looks like Telsa has a mountain to fight in this scenario.

Great to Nikola woke up, but she is separated from everyone else. I do like how she doesn't lose hope that Haga and the others haven't just moved on. Curious how she improved in the 1 year since the rest are most likely still stuck in the dungeon.

Fern saying the realist thing when she says you can't trust her judgement of Grimiores. Though Frieren's instincts are always very sharp and good. I feel like they are underestimating Frieren since much of their attention is on Serie. Which is obviously their main goal.

Mayonaka Heart Tune Chapter 45

So we finally got introduced to Arisu's sister. Rina is the obvious bro-con. Though Mito looks chill and fun. Nene has the typical problem of not being able to stick to one thing. Which finally has bitten her in the ass. Hopefully, she can stay motivated.

I do love Arisu has confidence of being able to clear up girlfriend misunderstandings. Though I got the feeling, he got freaked out when he heard his sister went through his anime and other stuff.

Haven’t quite reached the end but reading the latter half of solo leveling makes me appreciate one punch man even more.

OPM is infinitely more op, yet never gets so pretentious dikk riding the mc or rendering all the built-up (and at times more interesting) side characters into useless spectators, that the story becomes a bore.

That’s the trap SL fell into half way through, later compounded by a convoluted reveal / over-explanation of the stakes.

So the main group finally escapes from the dungeon, but are given a surprise when Ren doesn't recognize him. I guess the explosion really set off Alba where he sought out to kill everyone. Luckily, Nikola leveled up as an assassin to save them, though the concerning bit that Ren proposed to turning them into AI. The issue is what happens after they do that. Do they die or do they log out? Obviously, the difference between these two scenarios is scary.

Telsa does bring up the difference between the Meta-Ai and their goals. Unfortunately Alba, being the cooperative type, lets the players have what they want.

Yeah, power-creep really seemed to handicap Solo Leveling's latter portion. The premise for the sequel has me hopeful that they adjusted for the second story, but I only read some of the early manwha chapters. I just know that I've seen people say the light novel runs a lot longer.

Absolutely. The series peaked at the bug island arc imo. Afterwards it was just tripling down on the same procedural tropes. i.e. Every encounter becomes some "Goku arrives at Namek to face Recoome and Jace" type shyt.

Also some missed opportunities: They introduced the brehette with the dues ex machina powers but they never use them, even tho the supporting cast (lion guy, flame guy, blonde chick) clearly needed to lvl up to not remain useless.

Didn't know there was a sequel btw. I'll probably try a chapter or two just to see what it's about but if it's the same ol ish, i'll exit stage left.

I completely agree about the peak. I really liked the battle with the ants, and even the the king of ants vs the captain of the shadows for leadership roles. But after that, it really felt like the MC was way too overpowered for anyone to threaten him. Then when they brought in potential threats to him, they were too strong for any of the side characters to do anything worth a damn.

The sequel follows a son character who has no powers until he gets a visit from Beru (the ant shadow). It really started strong tbh, I'm excited to read more but it's still early for the manwha, so I dropped it to let the chapters pile up...I'll def binge it.

I started Hunter X Hunter and this is some of the most mid shyt I’ve ever read. All this hype about being the best shounen and I’m reading cooking exams. The art is also awful and the storytelling so far is beyond poor.
